Switzer Ultimate Street Edition Nissan GT-R

Updated on

The all new Ultimate Street Edition for the Nissan GT-R has been released by Switzer Performance. This package is for the daily driver who wants the power when needed, but still have the smooth feel of a stock GTR. They have tuning programs for the R35 GT-R consisting of 700, 800, 900 and even 1,200 horsepower packages like the R1KX. However, this Ultimate Street Edition offers the best of both worlds. It has 1,000+ horses, yet won’t overheat in traffic, require frequent maintenance, nor need special race gas to run smoothly.

So what exactly will the modified Nissan GT-R recieve? Switzer Performance will hook it up with their specific pistons, pins, rings, connecting rods and custom camshafts to optimize the engine idle. Two new liquid cooled turbochargers will provide the extra boos, while Switzer intercoolers and transmission cooler keep it running at optimal temperatures. With all this addition power, suspension mods are necessary, so Switzer adds adjustable shocks to go along with some softer tires.

Final improvements include the car tuning firms “nano-carbon” brake pads to aid the stopping power and reduce fade. Factor in all these modifications to the Nissan GT-R and you will have yourself a highly tuned sports car that is drastically better than the stock version, which may seems hard to accomplish with the way Nissan is manufacturing these Godzilla’s.
