Here is the all new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray that has received a nice tuning package from the guys at Hennessey Performance. Even though the brand new sports car offers a powerful V8 putting down 455 horsepower and sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, tuners always want more. Pairing up one of the most famous American sports cars with one of the top American tuning firms, you are sure to have a winner. Hennessey has given the Corvette C7 owners several options, five different packages to be exact, fitting the tastes of all car lovers worldwide.
Based on the names of these kits, the HPE500, HPE600, HPE700, HPE800 and the HPE1000, it’s not hard to guess what the numbers stand for…HORSEPOWER! They are currently developing all these packages upon which each will carry their own upgrades to reach the figures stated in the name. For example, the HPE700 will utilize an Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger system, while the HPE800 and 1000 kits have dual turbochargers installed. This just goes to show you can take a few different routes when tuning a sports car like a Corvette Stingray. There is no set way to tuning when trying to break world records as Hennessey Performance has done with their projects in the past.
Finally, if you thought performance tuning was all this company is about, then think again. On the exterior we see the aerodynamics were improved with new carbon fiber spoilers, side skirts and a rear diffuser. New 10-spoke H10 alloy rims wrapped in high performance Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were installed at the corners, while a coilover suspension system featuring Penske adjustable shocks and Brembo brakes tighten up the handling. Stay tuned for more Corvette C7 Stingray custom builds as it catches fire throughout the USA, and be sure to follow Hennessey Performance projects because they rarely disappoint.
