Wimmer RS Porsche 997 GT2 Bi-Turbo

The car tuners from Germany, Wimmer RS (Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Soligen) chose the Porsche 997 GT2 Bi-Turbo this time to modify and the results were amazing. The Porsche 997 GT2 was able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds! Wimmer increased the power to 680 hp, from the stock 530 hp, and torque was also boosted to 870 Nm. This was achieved by tuning the twin-turbos, adding a custom Wimmer sport exhaust system, sport catalysts, redesigned cylinder head, aftermarket camshafts, and finally a performance clutch. They didn’t stop with only tuning the cars engine bay, however, they also customized the exterior by adding a body kit, wheels, and graphics.

The wheels Wimmer RS chose for this model were 20 inch Sportec wrapped in the new race improved Dunlop Sport-Maxx GT tires, measuring 235/30/20 in the front, and 325/25/20 in the rear. That combo allows this Porsche to reach speeds over 300 km/h. Carbon fiber mirrors were installed along with a rear lip, and if the customers want extra carbon fiber pieces they can request them as well. H&R suspension was added and adjusted to perfection on this Porsche 997 twin turbo, giving the driver confidence when handling at the race track. Wimmer RS tuned this Porsche properly, and I think it can be awarded a spot in any car enthusiasts top 10.

  1. I like the checkered flag effect on the side. Mahindra adds the same effect to the Scorpio SUV here in India, but uses it to limited quantity and rightly. I feel this car would be a dream to drive on an empty stretch of road on a sunday afternoon, heading up the hills. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you ??
