Manhart Racing BMW M3 at Essen Motor Show

Updated on

Here we have a BMW M3 MH3 V8R Biturbo that has been completely transformed by Manhart Racing for the 2012 Essen Motor Show. The tuners took a 4.4-liter V8 out of a BMW X6 M and fit it under the hood of this M3. The amazing swap along with some ECU tuning resulted in a power output of 655 horsepower and 719 lb-ft of torque. With the removal of the electronic speed limiter, the sports car can now reach a top speed in excess of 199 mph or 320 km/h.

Some addition aftermarket parts installed on this heavily tuned BMW M3 include an Akrapovic Evolution Titanium exhaust system, new sport catalytic converter and a MHR suspension by KW. New four-piston brake calipers were sourced from a BMW X6 M along with 396mm drilled brake discs up front and 374mm discs at the rear.

Another part from the X6 M is the six-speed automatic transmission that received a differential lock to give the M3 better traction. Final modifications to the Manhart Racing BMW M3 consist of the 20×9 rims up front and 20×12 wheels at the rear that come wrapped in high performance tires.
