Aftermarket tuners are going above and beyond with whatever you want to call it, the Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ. That is the only problem with this sports car, we’re not sure what manufacturer to classify it under as both Toyota and Subaru have worked on it together. Identical cars from two different companies are rare these days, however it does make the tuning industry stronger since they can all form as one. We’re going to make it simple and call this car the FRZ86 from now on, see what we did there?
So now that we got that settled, this FRZ86 received new styling from Illinois based tuner TF-Works. Even though they have announced that this project is not completed, we have some of the parts and prices for interested customers.
It starts off with a “Version Select” carbon fiber body kit that consists of a new front apron, side skirts, bumper and trunk spoiler. The side skirts are priced at $1,330 while the spoiler is $385. A fresh new set of Vossen matte silver rims measuring 19-inches were installed at the four corners and come in at $549 a piece, while wheel spaces give it a flush fitment at $166.95. While these prices might be steep, just imagine what cherished car insurance, for example from cherished.carolenash.com, is going to cost when compared to these new sports cars.
Now we can’t wait to see if the tuners hook up the FRZ86 under the hood with some performance goodies since the exterior is jaw dropping. In the meantime we’ll go around spreading the word that the Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ can join together and simplify the name to FRZ86, let’s keep it simple stupid.
