It seems that everyone is trying to make their own version of Nissan GT-R. The car was a hit everywhere in the world and many tuning companies made special modification packages for this ride. A couple of days ago the guys from Cobra Technology & Lifestyle released their own upgrade package for the GT-R. The standard version of this car has a 3.8L V8 engine that delivers 485 HP but after a couple of improvements, the Cobra Nissan GT-R could deliver 550 HP at a maximum torque of 680 Nm. To get this power boost the car’s engine cooling unit was re-programmed and it also received an increased boost pressure and sport air filters. Even though it’s not ready yet, this Cobra Nissan GT-R will receive a high performance exhaust system made from stainless steel with metal catalysts.
The tuning company said this car should accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 3.5 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 320 km/h. If this is not fast enough they also plan to make a second performance tuning kit which will increase this car’s power to 620 HP and 800 Nm of torque. The car also received sporty designer suit by installing a new front bumper with large air dams and a rear bumper with integrated diffuser and a larger rear airfoil. The car has great aerodynamics to ensure optimal air flow and it received a decal kit which accentuates the car’s new body kit.
This Nissan GT-R sits on 21″ light alloy wheels and with new brake calipers, brake discs and a coil-over suspension it has great handling. Customers could choose from a luxurious interior made from high quality leather and Alcantara and a racing cockpit interior with ultra-light carbon-fiber racing seats and six-point seat belts. This tuning program made by Cobra should be available in the spring of 2009.
