First Custom 2011 Chrysler 300C

Crafted by John Fortuno aka Fatchance, he has called this project the Fatchance 2.0, and by the name you can tell he already had some runs with the older Chrysler 300 and 300C models pre-2010. Typically these tuning cars are murdered out with black paint, black rims, dark tint, and sometimes chrome accents, so it’s refreshing to see one out of the norm. This Chrysler 300 made its debut along with the “S” concept cars at the Annual Spring Festival of LXs this past weekend in California.

Speedriven Mercedes SL 600 CNG Powered

An environment friendly engineer in Texas has decided to make his Mercedes SL 600 green and clean for some odd reason. Honestly, he should just buy an electric car, but his name is Bernie Towns, and he has turned his 2007 SL600 Mercedes into a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueled sports car. He hopes that it will be able to break the record for the fastest natural gas car around. Bernie has partnered with the Chicago tuning company Speedriven, who have pushed 800 bhp and more than 1,000 ft-lbs of torque out of the Mercedes SL. Breaking the record will difficult, since the title is currently held by the Hohenester Audi A4 that was able to reach 364.6 km/h in 2009 with 700 bhp.

They want to focus on other aftermarket performance parts, and will stop production of the S302 come the third quarter of 2011. As seen in previous articles here on Fancy Tuning, the S302 Ford Mustang GT features an aftermarket body kit, sport suspension, and limited slip differential for boosted performance.

Irmscher 7 Selectra Electric Concept

A unique car concept was released by the German tuners Irmscher called the 7 Selectra, an electric concept roadster. This classic Lotus 7 type car features a 144V DC motor producing 175 kW and an insance 800 Nm of torque. It is said to be the largest ammount of torque available for an electric car currently. Lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePo) provide the battery power. The advantage to this liquid cooled battery is minimal power loss at low temps, and the fact they can be charged wirelessly. Technology has allowed these batteries to be charged to 60 and 100 percent in 3 to 8 hours.
