The German tuning firm VATH unveiled their latest tuning kit for the Mercedes CL65 AMG with performance and styling upgrades. Starting out with the exterior is a new aerodynamic body kit. Included in the kit is a carbon fiber front lip, rear skirts, new carbon fiber rear diffuser, trunk lip, and roof spoilers. The performance upgrades under the hood were accomplished from tuning the ECU, new intake, cooling system, and additional boost. A high performance exhaust system with larger pipes and high grade steel catalytic converters was installed underneath. Power numbers after the tuning was completed show 745 hp and an amazing 1,150 Nm of torque.
All the extra horsepower under the hood allows the Mercedes CL65 AMG from VATH to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds, and top out at an incredible 340 km/h. For that kind of top speed, a good suspension is required, and an airmatic lowering system which drops the car 40 mm was installed. VATH offers 20-inch lightweight alloy rims wrapped in Vredestein tires on all fours. Now stopping the Mercedes CL65 from 350 km/h is quite a task, and handled by the new braking kit featuring 6-piston calipers clamping down on large 405 mm brake discs. This performance and styling kit from VATH is pretty expensive at 36,980 euro.
