The new SP550 Porsche 997 Turbo was one of the nicest premieres from Sportec at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The guys from Sportec installed two special turbochargers and a new sport exhaust system with sound baffle system and high capacity catalytics to improve this car’s performances. They also added a special air filter with an optimised flow rate which will take care of this car’s demand of intake air. The result is an great engine which could deliver 550 HP and a gigantic torque of 705 Nm at 4,030 rpm. The car has really low CO2 emissions and it could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 11 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 331 km/h. Customers could order an improved body kit with better aerodynamics, a new front spoiler, side skirts, a 3 part rear apron and a GT-style rear wing.
The car tuner Sportec is going to focus more on offering mean&clean modified cars in the future and that means the same fun with less CO2 and better fuel usage. The car’s Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires offer a 19% lower rolling resistance and the car’s fuel consumption will be slightly improved.
