Two tuners, Pennzoil and RCR Street Performance Group teamed up to complete this special edition Chevrolet Camaro SS for the track. Included in the package is a new aero kit consisting of a front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler, and a carbon fiber hood. The tuning firms then decided to black out the tail lights and rear light area, redesign the front grille for a more aggressive look, and install a new set of 22-inch aftermarket wheels. Performance tuning was next on the list, and this Chevy Camaro SS went through an intensive lineup of parts.
First, a Magnuson supercharger was installed, along with a stage 4 clutch, and billet steel flywheel. Inside the block of the engine, a custom ground camshaft was added, and performance based dual valve springs help with the new load of power. A cold air intake topped off the modifications to the engine bay, but Pennzoil and RCR Street Performance Group went further with a kit to improve the handling of these performance parts. It’s too bad the car tuning firms didn’t release the official numbers for how much of a boost in horsepower the car received, but we can expect it to be staggering. Inside the Camaro SS, the interior was customized with yellow suede, leather trim, new floor mats, and several other accessories for a more sporty feeling.
