Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V VR1200 Tests Texas Highway Cameras

John Hennessey recently met with Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to test out the new cameras on the 85 mph section of Texas State Highway 130. Hennessey Performance brought out their Cadillac CTS-V with their very own VR1200 twin turbo kit producing 1,226 horsepower and 1,10 lb-ft of torque. Check out the video of this beast below, topping out at 220.5 miles per hour.

It appears that the new TxTag toll camera system is working well, after grabbing both the front and rear license plates of the Cadillac while hitting 203.9 mph on the pass. They asked if this was the first time one of Hennessey’s highly modified cars has topped 200 mph on a state highway, and he replied with “no comment.” The high-speed section is now open up to 85 mph, so if you have a customized Cadillac CTS-V or any performance car, you might want to check it out for yourself.
