Subaru Impreza WRX STi Trax

Subaru revealed their Impreza WRX STi Trax at the SEMA Motor Show with some amazing custom work that would be difficult to duplicate. Built for the snow tracks, the Subaru WRX STi Trax boasts 400 hp and was modified by Vermont SportsCar. Originally for famous STi driver Ken Block, the Subaru features a Mattraks rubber track system that comes second to none. The car has a completely gutted interior that was fitted with a multipoint steel roll cage, and seam-welded for extra support. Inside the Subaru Impreza are Recaro SPA ProRacer competition seats, carbon fiber door panels, and a fire suppression system.

Wheelsandmore Lamborghini LP 620 YarroW

Wheelsandmore, a tuning firm from Germany has revealed their custom modifications on the Lamborghini LP 620 called YarroW. The exterior received several carbon fiber parts throughout, including a covered front flap, mirrors, and a rear diffuser. For performance increases, Wheelsandmore installed a valve controlled exhaust system, carbon airbox, and an ECU tuning upgrade which produced 620 hp and 580 ft lbs of torque at 6,400 rpm. With those kind of numbers, the Lamborghini LP 620 demanded an aftermarket brake kit featuring 8-piston calipers with 14.96 inch brake discs in the front, and 6-piston calipers with 14.17 brake discs in the rear.

Prior Design BMW M6

The German tuners from Prior Design have released a refined BMW M6 with the project name PD550. Previously tuning a Porsche 997 Turbo, Mini Cooper S, and Jaguar XJR models, the BMW M6 received a new custom made body kit. The kit consists of a new front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, and front fenders. Equipped with large multi-spoke black wheels measuring 20×9 and 20×10.5, the PD550 BMW M6 really stands out. The wheels are also available in a 21″ model, and both come wrapped with 255/35ZR20 or 21 tires in the front, and 285/30ZR20 or 21 tires in the rear. Giving the car a wider stance, the body kit by Prior Design widens the BMW M6 by 80 mm. Now combine the large wheels, wide-body kit, lowered suspension, and you will have a true monster on the road.

Brembo GT-R Racing Brakes

Debuting at the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas next week will be the new Brembo GT-R Racing Brakes. The top of the line GT-R racing brake kit will be available for high-end cars like Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, and more looking for the best brake system on the market. Pictures you see here are never before seen images from Italy, and show a race tested nickle plating exterior. The nickle plating is what F1 race teams use with their cars which are 10% lighter than the current Brembo brakes on the market. These GT-R Racing Brakes are much stiffer, provide better modulation, and in the end have a better braking response over the older design. The Brembo calipers feature better thermo-mechanical resistance through vented piston inserts.

Hamann Volcano

The German car tuning firm Hamann has released new pictures of the Mercedes SLR McLaren Volcano. Originally a white and gunmetal color scheme, Hamann has expanded their ideas and now made the Volcano in yellow and red. Being a true sports car with its 5.4 liter V8 engine capable of producing 626 hp and 780 Nm of torque, the Hamann Volcano doesn’t disappoint. It manages to sprint from 0-100 km/h in only 3.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 348 km/h. The exterior modifications stayed the same which include front and rear wing extensions, side skirts, new bonnet, and rear diffuser.

Specter Werkes Corvette C6 GTR

Specter Werkes, a Corvette tuning company from Troy, MI have released pictures of their Corvette C6 GTR that is set to reveal at the SEMA show next week. Under the hood is the Corvette LS7 V8 engine with a twin-turbo setup courtesy of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. After the tuning was completed, the performance numbers show an incredible 800 hp with looks that can kill.  The exterior received BASF pearl blue paint, HRE CF40 carbon fiber wheels, and Specter Werkes custom body kit package for the Corvette C6 GTR. I think the paint looks great, and the body work along with the black wheels to contrast the blue worked out very well for Specter Werkes.

MUGEN Honda Civic Type R

The Honda Civic Type R by MUGEN has been confirmed for production, since so many enthusiasts were interested in the concept that was released in the United Kingdom. It is planned to be the fastest front wheel drive car in the world that is naturally aspirated. The Honda Civic Type R which is powered by the 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine, has been boosted by MUGEN to 240 ps. It was accomplished by replacing the stock pistons with aftermarket parts that increased the compression ratio. Tuning the ECU for the Type R and installing a stainless steel exhaust system along with a MUGEN airbox and filter also added to the performance increase.

TopCar Porsche Panamera Stingray

Recent images of the Porsche Panamera Stingray concept by the Russian tuning firm TopCar have been released showing a new body kit that looks impressive. This is just a rendering for now, since it appears these pictures have been photoshopped. The body kit is called the Stingray and we’re wondering if there is any resemblance to the old Chevy Corvette Stingray design. Russian tuning company Cardi helped TopCar in designing the aerodynamic kit which consists of several carbon fiber body parts and panels. New alloy wheels are part of the package for the Porsche Panamera along with new bumpers, air vents in the front bumper, side skirts, and a new rear wing.

Rhys Millen Racing RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Rhys Millen Racing has revealed the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe that has been developed to debut at the 2009 SEMA Show. The show is less than one week away and many manufacturers are already releasing their works. Rhys Millen Racing (RMR) has taken the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and completely transformed the vehicle to a true race car by moving the engine to the rear. It now carries the award winning 4.6-liter Tau V8 engine capable of producing 500 hp. Rhys Millen has added a new AEM engine management system to the Hyundai Genesis to go along with ECU tuning and tweaking. Replacing the stock transmission, RMR went with a new Mendeola 5-speed sequential transmission that allows the Genesis Coupe to reach a top speed of 182 mph.

INDEN-Design Mercedes-Benz SL 500

The lastest work from the well known Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari tuners at INDEN-Design shows a new tuning kit for the Mercedes SL 500. Receiving a completely new body kit from the Mercedes SL 65 AMG, the SL 500 has a more sporty appearance. The car was hooked up with large custom chrome wheels measuring 20×10.5 in the front, and 20×11.75 in the rear wrapped in 255/30/20 and 305/25/20 high performance Pirelli tires. The stance of the car was important to INDEN-Design, so they installed a ABC-sport suspension kit that can lower the vehicle up to 50 mm. The new SL 65 AMG body kit on the Mercedes SL 500 really transforms the car with the new front spoiler, rear bumper, carbon fiber diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler, and aftermarket rear lights.

Lorinser Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Sportservice Lorinser is a well known tuning firm with long traditions customizing Mercedes-Benz cars including the E-Class model pictured here. They have honored the Mercedes E-Class W212 premium limousine with a new stylish look. Re-designing the front, Lorinser added an all-black grille that is the center of attention. A front spoiler lip was installed underneath that extends farther than the stock bumper for a more aggressive look along with the LED lights. The middle of the front bumper was painted a different color to emphasize the grilles in the fenders, as well as the side skirts which also have vents towards the rear. Furthermore, the rear of the Mercedes E-Class features a new bumper with diffuser kit and roof spoiler for an extra sporty look.
