Shelby Ford F-150 Super Snake

Shelby Automobiles Incorporated has released their latest Super Snake tuning kit on the Ford F-150 models, for years ranging from 2003-2008. Based off of the Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake, the upgrades improve performance, handling, and looks. The concept was built by Shelby to see if the public was ready to take on another high performance truck. It features the stock 5.4-liter V8 engine that has been boosted by the tuning company to produce 475 hp. The power is transferred to the pavement through an automatic gearbox, and the Ford F-150 features large 6-piston Shelby brakes for extra stopping power.

MTM Audi TT RS

German tuning firm MTM has a long history of tuning Audi cars, and their latest project shows a powerful Audi TT RS. The company founder, Roland Mayer helped customize the Sport Quattro back in the 80’s with the turbo five-banger, and now almost 20 years later they are still consistent as ever. MTM is now able to offer three stages to boost performance numbers ranging from 340 hp to 404, to 424 horsepower. This is obtained by ECU tuning and an aftermarket exhaust system on the Audi TT RS. Torque numbers show 332 lb-ft to match the 340 hp and continue to rise along with a top speed of 185 mph.

McChip Porsche Panamera Turbo

McChip-DKR has released an upgrade package for the all new Porsche Panamera Turbo that has been highly appraised by car enthusiasts. The tuning firm created a package consisting of a power kit and new wheels. Performance gains for the Porsche Panamera show 550 hp and 775 Nm of torque with some simple ECU tuning and remapping. These numbers are a 50 hp and 75 Nm increase over the factory figures, and the Sportchrono version was able to produce 845 Nm of torque. The Porsche car was able to reach a top speed of 311 km/h after the tuners saw a 8 km/h gain from the stock model.

Mercedes SLS AMG

After the initial spy shots of the Mercedes SLS AMG were leaked, more pictures of the highly anticipated and redesigned Mercedes Gullwing have surfaced. It was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show with its front/mid-mounted 6.3-liter V8, and inspired by the Mercedes 300SL “Gullwing”. Mercedes offers a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with final performance numbers boasting 563 hp and 480 ft lbs of torque to the rear wheels. The Mercedes-Benz car weighs just around 3,500 pounds, allowing the SLS AMG to run a 0-60 mph time in only 3.7 seconds. Top speed numbers from Mercedes shows 197 mph with the addition of optional carbon ceramic brake discs to bring the sports car to a halt.

APP Nissan 370Z

Based out of Landsberg, the tuning specialists at Advanced Performance Parts (APP) have chosen the Nissan 370Z for improvements. The guys at APP Europe are true Japanese car lovers and have previously modified the Nissan 350Z and GT-R models. The white Nissan received striking three-piece 20 inch Oxigin Lexor wheels in black in white, wrapped in 245/30/20 tires in the front, and 275/30/20 in the rear. Underneath the 370Z is a MR Car Design stainless steel exhaust delivering the proper sound. For the sporty look they installed a KW option 3 coilover kit that lowers the car 30 mm and improves the driving experience.

Lumma Design BMW M5 CLR RS

Here we have a BMW M5 modified by the tuning firm Lumma Design, in collaboration with the popular BMW tuners G-Power and they named it the Lumma CLR RS. Both tuning companies were able to increase the performance significantly, with final numbers showing 730 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The M5 is able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 10 seconds, and 300 km/h in 29.5 seconds. An astounding top speed number for the Lumma Design BMW M5 CLR RS shows it is capable of 367.4 km/h. These impressive figures are from a G-Power compressor system with ASA radial compressor, new exhaust system with 105 mm exhaust pipes, and 100 cells racing catalysts.

Wheelsandmore Aston Martin DB9

The German tuners at Wheelsandmore have released a special tuning kit for the elegant Aston Martin DB9 convertible. Custom modifications include a new body kit made of polyurethane featuring new front and rear aprons, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. The Aston Martin DB9 convertible looks more bold and aggressive with these additions. Wheelsandmore added Kahn RS-V wheels that measure 20×9 and come wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx tires measuring 255/35/20 in the front, and 20×11 rims with 285/30/20 tires in the rear. Under the hood of the Aston Martin DB9 Volante convertible is the stock 6.0-liter V12 engine, which Wheelsandmore decided to perform some ECU tuning.

Toyota FT-86 Concept at 41st Tokyo Motor Show

At the 41st Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru and Toyota have partnered together to release the Toyota FT-86 Concept. Both companies will produce their own versions of the car, but right now they are sticking with the Toyota name. It should launch at the end of 2011 and will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four cylinder engine. Sporting a rear wheel drive, the Toyota FT-86 Concept car shows performance numbers of 146 hp and 190 Nm of torque. Hopefully there will be a turbocharger available for those tuning enthusiasts wanting extra power for their Toyota or Subaru. Delivering maximum driving performance will be a 6-speed manual transmission, and the affordable sports car will be priced around $20,000 USD.

AVUS Audi A4 Avant Black Arrow

AVUS Performance has released a customized version of the Audi A4 Avant and renamed it the A4 Avant Black Arrow. The German tuning firm kept the stock motor set which is a 2.7-liter turbo diesel engine. Tweaking the engine with their Stage 1 ECU tuning upgrade they were able to obtain 230 hp and 358 ft lbs of torque. Factory numbers from Audi show 190 hp with 295 ft lbs of torque. AVUS also offers performance kits for the 2.0 TDI and 3.0 TDI diesel versions. The exterior of the car was painted all black, hence the name Black Arrow, and several other modifications were included.

MR Car Design VW Scirocco Black Rocco

The latest tuning performed by MR Car Design is on the VW Scirocco named the Black Rocco edition. The new Volkswagen Scirocco has an aggressive appearance and comes heavily modified. MR Car Design installed a Rieger body kit that includes a new front apron, side skirts, and rear valance with an integrated diffuser. The exterior received a sleek matte black paint job and 20 inch Emotion wheels to top it off. The rims come wrapped in Hankook S1 EVO high performance tires to improve handling on the VW Scirocco Black Rocco. Under the hood is the original 2.0-liter TSI engine, however many parts have been added on.

Road Race Motorsport Suzuki Kizashi

Road Race Motorsport has released their own custom tuned version of the Suzuki Kizashi at the 2009 SEMA Show. The Road Race Motorsport Suzuki Kizashi is in the Zeitronix Booth 21212, and features the aftermarket body kit. Parts included in the kit are Carbontrix custom bumpers, rear spats, rear diffuser, custom front grille, and vented hood. Dubbed the ‘Platinum Edition’ the Suzuki tuning received graphics along with a painted black roof. Performance modifications for the suspension include sport springs, custom made chassis stiffeners, and front and rear sway bars.

Prestige Range Rover Sport

The British car tuners at Prestige have released a new styling kit for the Range Rover Sport. Making the SUV look like a muscle car, Prestige added several aerodynamic parts to the Range Rover. The front received a new bumper with integrated fog lights and air intakes. Wider fenders complete the wheel arches and add a much more aggressive look. Extra air intakes were designed in the new side skirts which give the appearance of a lower ride height. In the rear of the Range Rover Sport, Prestige installed a new bumper custom made to fit the exhaust pipes and a towing cover.
