ABT VW Beetle

Updated on

It is now time to prepare for the VW Beetle tuning wars as ABT Sportsline has just released some images of their initial renderings. Last month we saw some styling improvements from the Volkswagen enthusiast website VWVortex, and now we have the “Speedle” version from ABT. They will have several performance kits available for the VW Beetle, produing 140 HP for the 1.2 TSI engine, 210 HP for the 1.4 TSI, and 240 horsepower for the flagship 2.0 TSI powerplant. Diesel models will range from 125-170 HP, however the VW tuners are still manufacturing the parts and won’t be in customer hands until September.

Extra performance modifications to the VW Beetle are the suspension kit to lower the car along with new 19-inch rims to give it a fancy look. Exterior customization’s include the aero kit featuring a new front spoiler, rear apron, rear diffuser, side skirts, and large rear wing. Final touches to the Volkswagen Beetle tuning kit include special tailpipes, a unique paint job, headlight and taillight covers, as well as carbon fiber accents throughout. Look forward to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September to see the official launch of the tuned ABT Sportsline VW Beetle.
