Rhys Millen Racing has revealed the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe that has been developed to debut at the 2009 SEMA Show. The show is less than one week away and many manufacturers are already releasing their works. Rhys Millen Racing (RMR) has taken the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and completely transformed the vehicle to a true race car by moving the engine to the rear. It now carries the award winning 4.6-liter Tau V8 engine capable of producing 500 hp. Rhys Millen has added a new AEM engine management system to the Hyundai Genesis to go along with ECU tuning and tweaking. Replacing the stock transmission, RMR went with a new Mendeola 5-speed sequential transmission that allows the Genesis Coupe to reach a top speed of 182 mph.

The Tau V8 powerplant was fitted in the rear with extensive custom work and removal of the rear seats. JE pistons were installed that increases the compression ratio to 11.0:1. Regards to the exterior design, Rhys Millen Racing stated that the build was inspired by the Ferrari 599XX that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. The styling kit is the RMR signature edition featuring a carbon fiber spoiler, custom carbon fiber rear hatch to fit the motor, and unique RM ONYX HD paint supplied by BASF.

To handle the race track, Rhys Millen went with Sparco Chrono sports seats, Sparco alcantara, and carbon fiber interior panels. The race car even has a sound system hooked up that includes Infinity Kappa Perfect Speakers along with an amplifier. The carbon rear hatch allows for complete engine access and viewing pleasure, which will be a big hit at the SEMA Show. By placing the Tau V8 engine in the middle of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the architecture will improve the handling, acceleration, braking, and overall enhance the driving experience.
