Fazer-Nash was long ago a famous British car maker and even though they are no longer building cars the company is still around searching for the next big thing which could get them back in everyone’s attention. The company started to develop hybrid drive systems and they teamed with one of the best car design companies in the world, Italdesign Giugiaro to make an extreme concept called Namir. They made a series hybrid drivetrain that uses an 814cc rotary engine which drives a generator. The generator charges a 400V lithium battery pack which feeds electrons to a the car’s electric motors at each axle and the car has 362 HP.

AC Schnitzer 2009 BMW 7 Series
The 2009 BMW 7 Series is one of the most wanted luxury sedans on the market and AC Schnitzer made a special tuning package for this new generation from BMW. Even though they made only subtle visual modifications their BMW is really dynamic and aggressive. The car tuner added a new front bumper with a front lip that gives the car a sportier look and emphasizes the cars wheelbase with the new side skirts. The rear side of the car also received a couple of improvements and now this 7 Series is wider and looks like a muscle car. The car received dual exhaust outlets which make a thrilling sound in a new rear diffuser that looks a bit different than the original.
TechArt Porsche Cayenne Diesel
Porsche will be showing their new Cayenne Diesel at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show next week and TechArt, a well known Porsche tuner just released an exclusive body kit for this car which is powered by a 3.0L V6 TDI engine with 240 HP. Even though the aero package is less extreme than other tuning packages made by TechArt, their Cayenne has a nice eye catching design. The body kit consists of a new front spoiler with additional lights, side skirts, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, a new rear roof spoiler and trims for headlights and tail lights. All body kit elements are made from high quality polyurethane RIM and the package is completed with a set of 21″ alloy wheels equipped with 295/35 Continental tires.
Edo Competition Bentley Continental GT Speed
Some car tuners think that 610 HP is not enough for speed addicts and Edo Competition decided to improve the Bentley Continental GT Speed, a car that has 610 horses under the hood. Edo took the 6.0L W12 engine, added a stainless steel exhaust system and improved to car’s engine cooling unit to get a small power boost. The new high performance exhaust even features butterfly valves and the driver can decide when he wants to open up the valves to heard the sull sound of the W12 engine from a remote controller. Their engine could deliver 680 HP, 70HP more than the stock version and has a maximum torque of 649 lb-ft. Thanks to these performance improvements this Bentley could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and it could reach a breathtaking top speed of 340 km/h.
Gemballa Porsche Mirage GT Carbon Edition
A few years ago Porsche decided to stop production of their popular Porsche Carrera GT but the car still gets a lot of interest nowadays. A lot of car tuners came out with different versions of Porsche’s supercar and the one made by Gemballa called “Mirage GT” is one of the most popular tuning packages for the GT because it has an aggressive body kit and a lot of color combinations and soft finishes. The tuner made a new version called “Mirage GT Carbon Edition” and even though they don’t offer too many details, the package seems pretty great. It has a lot of carbon fiber elements and a two tone Pearl Wite and Black paint. Gemballa announced some performance specifications for their latest project and the Mirage GT Carbon Edition is equipped with a 670 HP engine and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
ABT Volkswagen Golf VI
For more than 30 years Volkswagen Golf was Germany’s favorite car and the new Golf VI was appreciated a lot. ABT loves to deal with Volkswagen tuning and since they modified almost every car from the German automaker they decided to offer a special upgrade kit for the Golf VI to underline the fine character of this car. The car tuning company made a new body kit that has a new front spoiler with a custom grille, new side skirts and a rear skirt and rear spoiler which improves the car’s aerodynamics and make this ABT Golf VI more aggressive. The car is not as stylish as the Rieger Scirocco but ABT Sportsline added an extra dose of sportiness with a 4 pipe muffler tip and new alloy wheels.
Branew Nissan GT-R Black Edition
Branew loves to modify Nissans and their white GT-R was turning heads at every car show where the company took it. The white GT-R by Branew received positive feedback everywhere and now the tuning company decided to launch a second demo car painted in black. The car is one of the best examples of GT-R tuning and it’s equipped with the latest Branew body styling parts. The front side of the car received a new front lip spoiler which adds a stylish touch to the front end. The tuner also installed wide side skirts which work really well against the 22″ Matte Finish wheels. Nissan tuning magazine has other modified GT-Rs but the newest demo car from Branew is more aggressive and sportier than any other tuning kits for this car.
Rinspeed Fiat 500 Abarth E2
Swiss car tuner Rinspeed has modified a Fiat 500 Abarth to get more power and better gas mileage but it won’t do this at the same time. They started from a Fiat 500 that has a standard 135 HP and they developed a new engine management system that has one mode for the city and one for the highway. The “E2” system will reduce the engine’s output from 160 HP to 60 HP with one touch of a button. The 60 HP mode is suitable for city traffic and will help the tiny Fiat achieve a 4.0L/100 km fuel usage while the 160 HP highway mode will use 7L/100 km. Rinspeed is one of the first tuners that makes something to reduce the car’s fuel consumption and in the Highway mode their car will get the same HP number as the Fiat 500 Abarth SS.
Lumma Design BMW CLR X 650 GT
Lumma Design prepared a special tuning package for the BMW X6 and they are going to unveil the new BMW CLR X 650 GT at the Geneva Motor Show that starts next week. A lot of BMW Tuners tried to add their stylish touch to the popular BMW X6 and Lumma Design wanted to make their own version of this car. The BMW X6 received a lot of new body elements which improve the car’s aerodynamics like a new front bumper with a carbon fiber lip spoiler, wide fenders and side skirts, a new rear bumper and a carbon fiber rear wing. BMW magazine also wrote about the previous BMW X6 kit from Lumma but the new car looks better than the old version. The car’s roof was painted with a black matte color and the car received a set of 23″ bi-color alloy wheels equipped with high performance tires sized 315/25-23.
MyCar Mercedes CS500
Saudi tuning companies get a lot of strange requests to create custom cars. While normal customers order a unique body kit and some upgrades under the hood, rich people from Saudi love to electroplate any previous metal on their luxury cars. In the world’s oil capitol there are many luxury vehicles and the tuner MyCar is challenged a lot in order to make an eye catching ride there. Ever heard of the Mercedes CS500? We haven’t heard either but the guys from MyCar went really far to create an all new Mercedes. The car is basically a gold plated Mercedes S550 but it has the front end of a Mercedes CL550 and it received a new name: the CS500.
Ride Cars Ford Mustang based on Toyota MR2
We’ve seen a lot of crazy car tuning styles in our time, but the newest project made by Ride Cars in the United Kingdom is one of the most extreme modifications. The car’s styling was inspired by Eleanor, a Shelby GT500 from the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds” but the strange part comes right now: the car is not a modified Mustang, it’s based on a Toyota MR2. The guys from Ride Cars made an impressive carbon fiber bodykit that consists of a new front and rear body section, new side skirts, door sills and skins, new lights and hinges and an awesome set of rear window louvers. They can also offer a wide range of options like a new set of wheels and tires, new suspension, brakes and an improved exhaust system.
ABT Audi AS5 R
The German tuner ABT Sportsline has announced its participation at this year’s Geneva Motor Show that starts next week with 4 great projects: the new ABT Audi AS5 R, the ABT Q5, R8 and the ABT Scirocco. The AS5 R from ABT is a cool and extravagant coupe that has the latest audi performance parts and a 510 HP engine which will provide power in any situation. This car’s stock engine could deliver only 344 HP so the power kit from ABT is the perfect choice for anyone who wants more power from their coupe. The car tuning company will also be showing other cars modified by them but they won’t come with their Audi S3 tuning package. The huge SUV Q5 received a new look and it will contrast with the ABT R8, a real sports car with perfect aerodynamics for use in extreme conditions.
