ABT Sportsline has released a new tuning package for the diesel version of the all new Volkswagen Beetle. The German tuners have tweaked the 2.0-liter TDI four cylinder powerplant to now produce 168 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. A plentiful increase from the factory 138 HP and 320 Nm of torque. Results show a new 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 8.8 seconds, stock time was 9.4 seconds.
Next, the ABT tuning firm installed a new lowered sport suspension kit along with larger brakes to handle the additional power. Styling modifications came last, and feature a new front spoiler, rear apron with integrated diffuser, headlight and taillights covers, and new oval exhaust tips. Finally, customers have the option to purchase a variety of alloy wheels for the new Volkswagen Beetle, ranging from 18 to 20-inches in diameter while wrapped in high performance tires.
