Keep It Simple Stupid, Here Is The FRZ86

Aftermarket tuners are going above and beyond with whatever you want to call it, the Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ. That is the only problem with this sports car, we’re not sure what manufacturer to classify it under as both Toyota and Subaru have worked on it together. Identical cars from two different companies are rare these days, however it does make the tuning industry stronger since they can all form as one. Toyota Mark X G Sport Carbon Fiber Roof Modification

At the Tokyo Auto Salon this year we saw a wide range of Toyota 86 or Scion FR-S models from the Japanese car manufacturer. To go along with these, a recently announced Toyota Mark X G Sport sedan was released that features a carbon fiber roof. Replacing the factory steel, the new carbon rooftop reduces the body weight and improves overall driving performance.

Modellista Gundam Style 2013 Toyota Auris

You didn’t read it wrong, this is the new ‘Gundam Style‘ kit for the upcoming 2013 Toyota Auris by Modellista. While it may be easily confused with the hit viral song ‘Gangnam Style’ by South Korean rapper PSY, this title actually relates to the Japanese animated television series with giant robots. Although this car is not a giant in itself, the large Japanese in-house tuning company Modellista has taken this car under their wing for some tasty modifications.

Speedhunters Toyota 86X Drift Car

Thursday, August 9th, 2012:

The guys at Speedhunters teamed up the KW suspension experts to create this 86X drift car based on the Toyota GT-86. (Also know as the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S depending on where you live) It recently participated in the Gatebil drift competition in Norway and plans to tour Europe while being driven by Fredric Aasbø. To get this car competition ready, the guys had to completely swap out the factory engine with a larger 2JZ-GTE sourced from a Toyota Supra.

The tuners at Wald International have released a teaser of a new kit for the upcoming Toyota 86 that has taken the world by storm. In the US, this car will be known as the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, while in Europe it will be called the Toyota GT 86. All in all, this looks to be the hot commodity for tuning enthusiasts and companies worldwide. Wald has released their JDM version for the Toyota 86 with a few teaser photos we have in the this article. Car tuning company Royal Customs has released a new body kit for the Toyota Land Cruiser that will be 1 of 20 produced worldwide. Each Land Cruiser will come with an original Royal Customs certificate of authenticity and a badge placed inside the dashboard stating the number of production. From the pictures you can see it received a new front lip, hood scoop, fender covers, rear bumper with integrated diffuser and new exhaust tips for a sportier look. The tuners also hooked it up with 1-inch body spacers to allow extra wheel clearance for the Toyota Land Cruiser in case the owners want to install new wheels.

GRMN Toyota iQ Concept

We have a strange looking little car here from Toyota, who has exclusively debuted this tuned, track-ready conversion of the smart Toyota iQ city car. Tuning was performed by MN specially for Gazoo Racing, and the cubic iQ is the latest concept of the brand’s compact model. Most evident is the addition of a large front air dam, lower air intakes, and new racing wheels. A roll cage was custom built for the interior and track use, while the Toyota urban mini car reaps benefits from a supercharged engine. Now this is still a concept, it looks like the design and power could work since the car is so small. However, traction seems like the major issue because the short wheelbase. We’ll see what the Toyota tuning guys and GRMN can put together.
