G-Tech Fiat 500 Sportster Tuning

The German tuning company G-Tech has released a new package for the Fiat 500 they are calling the Sportster. This Fiat was lucky enough to be stripped down and chopped up to make it more sporty while receiving a baby blue paint job. However, to make a Fiat 500 a true sports car, performance modifications under the hood are necessary. This is why G-Tech has put together two different packages for the 1.4-liter four cylinder turbocharged powerplant.

Mopar Plans to Offer 150 Custom Parts for Fiat 500

The American tuners at Mopar have now announced a full line of aftermarket parts for the newly arriving Fiat 500 in the states. Fiat stated that there are already more than 500,000 different ways to customize the current models, and that this popular car could catch on quick for the tuning enthusiasts in the United States. Mopar now has a nice set of 150 different accessories soon to be available for the Fiat 500, and it looks like they are one of the first in America. These mods range from a simple locking gas cap priced at $21, to a full body kit costing $1,400.

Aznom Fiat 500 Abarth Motore Centrale

The Monza-based tuning company Aznom has taken the Fiat 500 Abarth back to it rear-engine design days with their model called the Motore Centrale. This mid-rear mounted powerplant now produces 230 PS and 330 Nm of torque, while the weight has been reduced to 1050 kg. This allows the Fiat 500 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. Performance tuning for the Fiat Motore Centrale consists of a new Garrett turbocharger, 200-cell catalyst, and new injectors to handle the extra air. A Bilstein suspesnion package was installed for improved handling with this Fiat tuning kit, however hit the jump to see the video of the car trying to drift, because it doesn’t turn out so well.

Mopar Fiat 500

In addition to the Chrysler 200 Super S released earlier this month, Mopar is now offering several aftermarket mods for the recently launched 2012 Fiat 500 in the USA. These were announced through a special version of the city car at the North American International Auto Show in Detriot, featuring mostly cosmetic customizations. This all show, no go Fiat 500 appears to be less impressive than the concept that was unveiled at the last SEMA Show, however carries some similar tasteful exterior tuning found on the Mopar Limited Edition Challenger. Novitec Fiat Punto Evo

The Fiat and Alfa Romeo car tuning specialist, Novitec, have released this extensive program for the new Fiat Punto Evo. Starting off under the hood, Novitec installed their PowerJet 2 auxiliary control unit with plug and power technology for the turbocharged 1.4-liter 16V MultiAir gas engine. The numbers were boosted to 160 hp from the standard 135 hp, and the torque increased from 206 to 246 Nm. At the track, the new Fiat Punto Evo accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, while the top speed was 209 km/h. For a unique exhaust tone, Novitec hooked it up with stainless steel sport mufflers, which are EG certified and available in 26 different versions, starting at 200 Euros.

G-Tech Fiat Abarth 500 RS-S

The tuning company G-Tech has recently introduced their newest package for the Fiat Abarth 500 receiving the title RS-S. This performance package improves the performance and power by nearly 65%. To accomplish this massive feat, G-Tech’s team added larger injectors, performance spark plugs, along with a cat-back exhaust system with Garrett loaders. So what is this power increase? Well, the standard Fiat Abarth 500 comes with a 1.4L producing about 135 HP and 206 Nm torque.

Pogea Racing Fiat 500 Ferrari

The team at Pogea Racing released an amazing tuning package for the Fiat 500 Abarth 595 Ferrari last week. With the car performance and styling in mind, this special Fiat 500 Tributo Ferrari is much more powerful than the factory model that produces 180 hp. To increase the numbers, the tuners had to installed a new ECU, high performance stainless steel exhaust system, add a new downpipe, catalytic converter, and a custom turbocharger available in two versions for the Fiat 500. So what was the end result of this performance tuning?

Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth

The Hamann tuning firm is a well known BMW and luxury car tuner, but have now added the Fiat 500 Abarth to their list of modified cars since it is extremely popular. This new program for the Cinquecento features a new aero kit to make it much more aggressive. Hamann also offers several performance packages to the car to a new level. As for the aerodynamics, they chose to modify the Fiat with a new front skirt, integrated LED daytime running lights, wing extensions, side skirts, and a redesigned rear skirt with Ferrari-like diffuser. However, the performance gains for the small engine Fiat 500 Abarth are jaw dropping.

Karl Schnorr Fiat 500 Abarth

If you own a Fiat 500 Abarth and are not satisfied with its performance, then bring your Fiat 500 to Karl Schnorr Kraftfahrzeuge’s car tuning company for upgrades. They started off by installing aluminum wheels from OZ in a red or Seria Rossa color measuring 17×7 and are priced at 1,090 euro. To make the wheels fit flush, a special coilover kit was hooked up that lowers the Fiat 500 Abarth a few millimeters and is priced at 1,275 euro. For the axis measurement when lowering the car, Karl Schnorr charges 85 euros, and for the adaption of the body it is 285 euros. Performance increases were accomplished by the installation of two different power kits. The level I power kit increases horsepower from 135 to 163 hp for only 950 euro, while the level II kit increases the power over 200 hp, but it much more expensive at 5,050 euro.

Rinspeed Fiat 500 Abarth E2

Swiss car tuner Rinspeed has modified a Fiat 500 Abarth to get more power and better gas mileage but it won’t do this at the same time. They started from a Fiat 500 that has a standard 135 HP and they developed a new engine management system that has one mode for the city and one for the highway. The “E2” system will reduce the engine’s output from 160 HP to 60 HP with one touch of a button. The 60 HP mode is suitable for city traffic and will help the tiny Fiat achieve a 4.0L/100 km fuel usage while the 160 HP highway mode will use 7L/100 km. Rinspeed is one of the first tuners that makes something to reduce the car’s fuel consumption and in the Highway mode their car will get the same HP number as the Fiat 500 Abarth SS.

Fiat 500 Abarth Asetto Corse

Fiat will come at Mille Miglia at Brescia with their new Abarth Asetto Corse, a modified racing version of the tiny Fiat 500. Fiat Abarth Asetto Corse has a 1.4L turbo engine with 4 cylinders and can develop 200 HP and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. If you compare this car’s performances with it’s size you will be amazed how fast this Fiat can accelerate. The engine is connected to a six-speed gearbox. The whole car moves with 17″ ultra light rims that will surely impress a lot of people. The guys from Fiat also installed an Abarth rear bumper and a splitter front bumper. With new brakes, new suspension system and having a weight of just 930 Kg this car is one of the best handling cars. There will be only 50 limited Fiat Abarth Asetto Corse cars but those that will buy ones will surely like it.

The Fiat 500 is one of the most popular tiny cars on the market and i’ve seen a lot of different companies that tried to modify cars like this one. O.CT hasn’t done too many modifications at the car’s interior and they tried to maintain the car’s classic look. They lowered the suspension and they’ve installed a new set of rims that are fully painted with black. The engine is the car’s part that suffered a lot of modifications. From the initial 75 HP, the small 1.3L Multijet engine could develeop about 90 HP after installing a new engine cooling unit.  The maximum torque is now 180 Nm and for a small car like this one, you’ll surely see a difference at acceleration. This Fiat 500 could reach 100 km/h in just 12.9s.
