It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Wimmer RS car tuning project, but they are back on track with this taxi looking Mercedes C63 AMG Wagon. From the factory, the car holds a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 powerplant producing 457 horsepower with 600 Nm of torque. Wimmer RS came to play with a few performance upgrades of their own, featuring new cylinders, camshafts, custom throttle, exhaust and ECU optimization to boost the output.
After the performance tuning was complete, the Mercedes C63 now puts down 615 HP which is more horses than a Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Gallardo LP570. Both of these exotics produce around 560 HP off the assembly line, so Wimmer has given the Mercedes AMG Wagon some bragging rights in terms of numbers. However, the track figures will most likely tell a different story.
Final modifications for this Mercedes tuning program consist of a new KW sport suspension kit, H&R spacers and a limited slip differential from the Drexler Company. Car wrap company BRUXSAFOL provided the taxi-like exterior styling. Rounding out the Mercedes C63 AMG Wagon are a new set of BBS 19-inch aluminum rims wrapped in Dunlop high performance tires.
