Here we have a sneak peak from the Berlin based tuners at MEC Design in which they have mocked up the future tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The new Mercedes Gullwing is set to launch in the spring of 2010, and these designs of the SLS AMG show it is capable of extreme styling. The kit looks incredible, very aggressive, but still maintains the high class look of a Mercedes all wrapped into one unique package. MEC Design started off with giant 22″ three-piece mecxtremel wheels, removed the Mercedes logo above the grille, and started designing the bumpers. Completely redesigning the front, side, and rear bumpers, MEC really transformed this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG into being capable of an award winning show car.
The new front bumper carries a deep mesh grille with curved side inlets allowing more air to the engine bay. Side skirts show that they have been deepened and come hooked up with the MEC Design lighting system. The rear of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG “Gullwing” shows an aggressive diffuser, thin rear spoiler coming from the trunk, and a MEC Design exhaust system underneath. Inside the highly anticipated Mercedes SLS is a carbon fiber steering wheel and Alcantara finishes to perfectly match the cockpit. A direct quote from the CEO, Cem Altun said, “We’re very excited about the SLS, it’s already becoming a classic just like the 300 SL Gullwing. These first studies have received a lot of good feedback and now we just can’t wait to get our hands on one.”
