Irmscher Kia Soul
Irmscher specialists have truly outdone themselves in tuning their new urban mini MPV Kia Soul, quite the eye-catcher with Royal character and a complete transformation. With a fresh makeover, the Kia Soul Irmscher Edition 001 as it became known, was refitted with a remarkably stylish new interior as well as exterior. Born at one of Kia’s design centers in California , the Irmscher conversion takes advantage of its high-contrast exterior profile. To complement their sleek design Irmscher tuning specialists blackened the roof, mirror caps, along with the middle sections of the front and rear bumpers. Irmscher’s Edition 001 sticker (located on the side and rear of the compact city crossover) further amplifies their custom creations. Along with all that, the Kia Soul is offered with full set of low profile tires (225/45 R18) on black 18-inch Sports Star rims.
WEITEC Volkswagen Golf 6 GTI
The WEITEC car tuners have released a stunning styling kit for the Volkswagen Golf 6 GTI to make it a lot more eye catching. The hot German hatchback received a new full aero kit that consists of many aggressive parts. Included in the package are new front and rear spoilers, side skirts, carbon fiber hood, and if all that’s not enough, then check out the Lambo doors. It reminds me of the popular post we wrote about the high modified Worthersee Golf GTI back in the day. For the suspension, WEITEC went with a new KW coilover kit and custom Sport F springs to lower the car 20 mm. But wait, they still offer better suspension packages if you want to take it to the track.
Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a project from the German tuning firm Novitec Rosso, but they have now released their Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. Upgrading Ferrari supercars for years now, Novitec brings us this finely tuned package with several performance and cosmetic changes. The cornerstone of the Novitec Rosso Ferrari program is a power increase and even sportier exhaust note with the ECU tuning and a stainless steel exhaust. Modified electronics allow the 5.7-liter Ferrari V12 to boost the power to 565 hp and 609 Nm of torque. At the track, this allowed the Maranello’s 612 Scaglietti to run from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.9 seconds, and accomplish an amazing top speed of more than 325 km/h.
Vorsteiner Mercedes E-Class E63 AMG V6E styling kit
Hold onto your seats, Vorsteiner has recently launched a new aero kit for the Mercedes E63 AMG called the V6E kit. Featuring many aesthetically pleasing carbon fiber parts, the styling package includes a new front lip spoiler, trunk spoiler, and rear diffuser. Also part of the kit are Vorsteiner’s forged V-308 rims wrapped in high performance tires. The tuning company claims that these are the most concave wheels on the market to fit the Mercedes sports car, but I beg to differ. There are so many competing wheel companies out there, and I have seen China imitation wheels on eBay with more concave than these. They are still great wheels from Vorsteiner though, and the stance looks impressive for the Mercedes E-Class.
Irmscher Dodge Journey SR
Irmscher has launched a special edition of the Dodge Journey Crossover in Germany to give the family car a complete makeover. The Journey SR is the product, and it receives a sporty look for the so called SUV, but it really still holds minivan features. It’s a family van that has been taken under the wing of the German tuning firm Irmscher, along with the cooperation of Dodge. The modifications are all cosmetic, so there are no performance gains for the stock 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 140 horsepower. Included in the styling kit is a new front apron, roof spoiler, chrome tail pipes, and tinted rear windows.
Alpina BMW B3 S Bi-Turbo
The Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo is now available for British fans from the top-end BMW tuning experts. Alpina recently premiered the refined BMW, and plans to start deliveries in July for the efficient sports car. Thanks to a wisely tuned 3.0-liter six cylinder, the modified BMW outputs 400 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The unique Alpina BMW performed great at the track with an acceleration time of zero to 62 mph in only 4.7 seconds, and reached the V-max limit of 186 mph. What’s most remarkable is the fact that this BMW carries 400 hp with an amazing efficiency of 29.1 mpg, combined with CO2 emissions of 224 g/km.
Hurst Performance Camaro
Hurst Performance has released a limited edition package for the Chevy Camaro Series 5. Trying to keep it exclusive, only 50 of these models will be made each year, and will be painted with Hurst’s white and gold colors. It received a unique feature with a gold mica in the white and gloss black graphics that were placed along the hood, sides, and rear. The most interesting detail about this Hurst Performance Camaro are the custom forged alloy rims measuring 20-inches that come wrapped in BFG KDW high performance tires. Improving the aesthetic value even further is an AIR-SPEED rear deck spoiler to separate it from the norm.
Kristin Zippel Wins Miss Tuning 2010
It’s been hectic at the Tuning World Bodensee this past weekend where 26-year old Kristin Zippel was crowned the winner of Miss Tuning 2010. She’s a beauty therapist from Mering, Germany who beat out Jennifer Ziegener and Irena, the runner-up and third place finalists respectively. She stunned the judges in her sexy bikini, and was awarded a Nissan Micra along with an upcoming photo shoot in the Great Lakes region of North America. After Kristin was announced the winner, she stated, “This is crazy, I’m really looking forward to exciting events with great people, and above all the cool cars.”
Steinmetz Opel Astra J
The Opel tuning specialists at Steinmetz have unveiled a new package for the 2010 Opel Astra J. In desperate need of a refined look, the tuners hooked it up with several aerodynamic parts including a new front spoiler, blacked out grille, and rear roof spoiler that flows with the styling lines. Enhancing the exterior look are stainless steel strips in silver and anthracite to cover the door handles and sides. Giving the Opel Astra J a sportier look is the suspension lowering kit to drop the car 30 mm closer to the ground. For the wheels, Steinmetz offers two styles, a ST10 and ST7 which both measure 19×8.5 inches.
ONYX Range Rover Vogue and Sport
The ONYX tuning company have released the latest upgrade kits for the Ranger Rover Vogue and Range Rover Sport models. They now offer the Platinum V and S packages for customers seeking excellent styling, performance upgrades, and flawless craftsmanship. Including in the new tuning kits are new wheel arches made from the highest quality FRP, carbon fiber materials, used to manufacture side vents, front grilles, and rear diffusers. These are the same carbon fiber techniques used to construct high-end machines like Formula 1 race cars and aerospace engineering.
Switzer Porsche 911 GT2 R911S
The guys from Switzer have taken the Porsche 911 GT2 R911S to a whole new level of performance with their car tuning package. Instead of adding any styling improvements to the Porsche, the tuners have focused all of the attention under the hood. The Porsche 911 GT2 is the fastest road car in Porsche history, but the customers feel they can always get a little more power, so that’s where Switzer comes in. After the tuning upgrades, the 911 GT2 put down 911 horsepower, ironic right, which is 291 hp more than the factory car, and just 89 hp less than the notorious Bugatti Veyron!
