Carlsson Mercedes GL Grand Edition

Here we have the Carlsson tuned Mercedes GL Grand Edition called the CGL45 that is planned to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It features a wide body kit with new wheel arches, front spoiler, chrome grille, and rear apron holding the new stainless steel exhaust system. Power increases for the Mercedes-Benz show 310 PS and 700 Nm of torque, a jump from the factory model 265 PS and 620 Nm of torque. For the top of the line model, the Mercedes GL 500 has been boosted to 435 PS and 600 newton meters of torque.

Imperium Bentley Continental GT

UK-based tuning house Imperium has sent these renderings to a British customer interested in fixing up his Bentley Continental GT. With the price tag of these high-end luxury rides, it’s becoming more common to have tuners send a sample of what the final product will be. We see here that the modified Bentley Continental GT will feature custom body work with new front and rear bumpers, side skirts with carbon fiber details, boot lip spoiler, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. If that’s not enough, a fancy red paint job brings out the true blood of the car.

MTM Audi A7 Sportback TDI

MTM is the latest tuning company to have a take on the Audi A7 Sportback TDI. The tuners from Senner had just released their project a couple days ago, but this A7 matches up just as well. MTM was able to push the factory performance numbers of 245 HP and 500 Nm of torque to 285 HP and 580 Nm of torque for the first option. A second tuning option available for the Audi A7 boosts the figures to 300 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Both of these packages are priced at 1,392 Euros (US$2,000), which does include the installment of the kit.

Mugen Tuned Honda CR-Z RR

Check out these new pictures of the Mugen tuned Honda CR-Z RR that debuted with the CR-Z Concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This highly modified RR model is the work of the Japanese tuning division of Mugen, while the original Honda CR-Z was put together by Mugen Euro in the UK. The RR tuning kit features several bespoke parts with many made from carbon fiber. Some of the carbon pieces include the new bonnet, passenger doors, and rear tailgate, while underneath is a full length carbon fiber underbody holding a central exit exhaust system. Everyone seems to love a Mugen tuned Honda, that’s for sure.

Mopar Plans to Offer 150 Custom Parts for Fiat 500

The American tuners at Mopar have now announced a full line of aftermarket parts for the newly arriving Fiat 500 in the states. Fiat stated that there are already more than 500,000 different ways to customize the current models, and that this popular car could catch on quick for the tuning enthusiasts in the United States. Mopar now has a nice set of 150 different accessories soon to be available for the Fiat 500, and it looks like they are one of the first in America. These mods range from a simple locking gas cap priced at $21, to a full body kit costing $1,400.

Anderson Germany Maserati GranTurismo S

Tuner Anderson Germany always seems to turn out nice performance packages, this time for the Maserati GranTurismo S. The German tuning firm has created their own custom line of styling and performance enhancements with the label ‘Superior Black Edition’ for those looking to purchase. On the exterior is a sexy matte black coating to protect the body along with gloss black trim details. Many carbon fiber parts can be found throughout this tuning job, from the fender vents to the carbon fiber mirrors, and even the rear carbon fiber duck lip. Smoked out taillights and a unique grille that surrounds the exhaust pipes bring out the extra stunning look of the Maserati GranTurismo S.

Cosa Design Lamborghini Gallardo

Here we have a unique tuning package for the Lamborghini Gallardo from the German tuner Cosa Design. They started off with a new body kit that reminds us of the overkill Galaxy Warrior kit, consisting of a new front skirt, side skirts, rear apron, rear wing, and rear diffuser. The exhaust note was improved with a stainless steel unit featuring sound control. It also claims to add an extra 20 PS to the Lamborghini Gallardo, bringing the total output to 540 PS and 550 Nm of torque. The V-Max limiter has been raised to allow the sports car to reach 317 km/h.

Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V1000

Another impressive tuning package has been prepared for the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe from the guys at Hennessey Performance. This will be limited to 12 units so get your order in today if interested. Called the V1000, Hennessey hooked it up with a new carbon fiber aero kit consisting of a vented hood, new front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. These aftermarket parts are wrapped together with a new sport suspension kit to lower the car, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes for superior stopping power, and performance tuning under the hood to bring the real power out.

RUF Releases the Third Stage for Porsche CTR 3

The tuners at RUF have revealed a third installment of the Porsche CTR 3 with several upgrades from the previous two models dating back to 2007. This new CTR 3 version features a longer wheelbase than the other two, allowing it to hold a new mid-engine with the new body made from galvanized steel. Found in the engine bay is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo boxer powerplant producing 50 PS more than the previous Porsche tuning. A newly designed gearbox for the CTR is transversely mounted, and sends all 750 PS and 960 Nm of torque to the wheels.

DMC Maserati GT

The German tuning company DMC has released this custom version of the new Maserati GranTurismo called the Sovrano 2011. We love this blue color for the exterior, and under the hood you will find a new supercharger along with an ECU tune to boost the 4.7-liter V8 powerplant to 590 PS and 472 Nm of torque. This is an upgrade of 150 PS and 82 Nm of torque over the factory Maserati GT. Styling for the unqiue Maserati consists of a carbon fiber aero kit, featuring a new front bumper with lip spoiler, wide side skirts, boot-lid spoiler, and a rear diffuser for an extra aggressive look.

AMS Nissan GT-R New Record Track Time

We now have the true Godzilla in town, the AMS tuned Nissan GT-R has set the standard for all GTR owners with a record quarter mile time of just 9.052 seconds at 166.7 mph. Called the ALPHA 12, this insane car produces an amazing 1,309 horsepower with 994 lb-ft of torque to the all wheel drive Nissan GTR R35. The AMS Performance tuning company still plans to improve the ALPHA 12 GTR track times when the weather and track conditions improve. This was set in 90 degree heat, which we all know takes a toll on performance when it gets that hot outside. Pricing for the ALPHA 12 is not yet available, however we do know that the ALPHA 10 kit for the Nissan GT-R boosts the ouput to 1,000 HP on 93 octane, and costs $63,995. Ferrari World Design Contest

Here we have the winner of the Ferrari World Design Contest 2011, where 50 universities from around the world competed. This winning Ferrari design was constructed by three students from the Hongik University of Seoul, South Korea. They call it the Ferrari Eternità, and have the inital 2D rendering, 3D computer model, as well as a 1:4 scale model on display. Chairman Luca di Montezemolo of Ferrari was impressed with the results, and praised the students for their hard work and creativity while competing in the Ferrari World Design Contest.
