Wimmer RS has released this new Porsche 997 GT2 RS package for the 500 owners who are looking to reach the next level of performance. They have taken the 3.6-liter six cylinder engine and hooked it up with optimized turbochargers, ECU reprogramming, new camshafts, crankshaft, timing chains, pistons, connecting rods, a new fuel pump and 200-cell sport catalysts. With these extensive upgrades, the flat-six now develops around 1,006 horsepower and 1,108 Nm of torque.

Wimmer RS Mercedes C63 AMG Wagon
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Wimmer RS car tuning project, but they are back on track with this taxi looking Mercedes C63 AMG Wagon. From the factory, the car holds a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 powerplant producing 457 horsepower with 600 Nm of torque. Wimmer RS came to play with a few performance upgrades of their own, featuring new cylinders, camshafts, custom throttle, exhaust and ECU optimization to boost the output.
Wimmer RS Mercedes C63 AMG
The German tuning company Wimmer RS had this unique Mercedes C63 AMG on display at the Essen Motor Show. Calling it the BlueGreen Eliminator, Wimmer was able to pack a punch in the sporty sedan. With their top of the line performance package, power increased from 487 PS and 600 Nm of torque to 601 PS with 720 newton meters of torque. After the initial Mercedes tuning, the car received a new set of KW coilovers for the suspension, 19-inch alloy rims, and a MOVIT ceramic brake kit.
Wimmer RS VW Golf R
The Volkswagen Golf R is the latest car to receive an upgrade package from the tuning company Wimmer RS. Dubbed the Red Devil, this kit adds and impressive power boost to the Golf. Modifications begin with an ECU upgrade, re-fitted turbochargers and piping, custom injection nozzles, TFSI tuning, and aftermarket connecting rods. The list of custom work continues with new lamp coating, cylinder heads, larger intercooler, oil cooler, new intake system, additional oil pump, and an improved crankshaft. But wait, there’s still more for the VW Golf R. The Wimmer RS engineers installed a second low pressure fuel pump, sport camshafts, and a handmade stainless steel exhaust system with a sport catalyst converter.
Wimmer RS Mercedes C63 AMG
Wimmer RS recently revealed the AMG Performance Package Plus dubbed as the Dunlop Performance for the Mercedes C63 AMG. This sports car was designed to compete in the Tuner’s Grand Prix at the Hockenheim circuit, where it took the second place prize. For the track, the most important upgrades were the ECU upgrade, new exhaust manifold, K&N sport air filter, and improved air intakes under the hood. Suspension came next with a high performance KW3 Club Sports coilover system installed on the Mercedes C63 AMG.
Wimmer RS Porsche 911 GT2 Speed Biturbo
Wimmer RS have taken the Porsche 911 GT2 Speed and released a tuning package based off the standard 997 GT2 biturbo featuring two Wimmer turbochargers. The Porsche engine received the works with an upgrade to the engine block, new pistons, connecting rods, injector nozzles, aftermarket camshafts, modified intake manifold, throttle valve, and new intercooler. With all these improvements, ECU tuning was mandatory, and the results are amazing. Performance numbers show 827 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and 948 Nm of torque with a power to weight ratio of 1.84 kg/hp. The Wimmer RS Porsche 911 GT2 Speed has a top speed of 379 km/h, and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.38 seconds!
Wimmer RS Ferrari F430 Scuderia
The car tuning company at Wimmer RS released their latest modified version of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia that will be on display at the Essen Motor Show. A new power kit was developed by Wimmer RS, which includes the Wimmer engine control software and the addition of an aftermarket exhaust system. Performance numbers saw an increase of 38 hp with a maximum speed boost of 11 km/h to reach a total 321 km/h. The Wimmer RS Ferrari F430 Scuderia track numbers were excellent, with times showing it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in only 3.84 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 11.03 seconds, and 0-300 km/h in 34.9 seconds.
Wimmer RS Porsche 997 GT2 Bi-Turbo
The car tuners from Germany, Wimmer RS (Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Soligen) chose the Porsche 997 GT2 Bi-Turbo this time to modify and the results were amazing. The Porsche 997 GT2 was able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds! Wimmer increased the power to 680 hp, from the stock 530 hp, and torque was also boosted to 870 Nm. This was achieved by tuning the twin-turbos, adding a custom Wimmer sport exhaust system, sport catalysts, redesigned cylinder head, aftermarket camshafts, and finally a performance clutch. They didn’t stop with only tuning the cars engine bay, however, they also customized the exterior by adding a body kit, wheels, and graphics.
