Geneva Motor Show: RUF Porsche 911 RGT-8

This lime green Porsche 911 RGT-8 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show from the RUF car tuning specialists. Looking like a solid build, the most suprising thing about this project is that it doesn’t use a Porsche engine! Instead, the tuners modified an in-house 4.5-liter V8 powerplant to produce some impressive numbers. With this innovative design, and compact engine, the Porsche 911 power increase shows 550 hp at 8,500 rpm, and 500 Nm of torque at 5,400 rpm. RUF was able to shave off 200 kg with the customizations under the hood, and even gave the race car a dry-sump lubrication system which is effective under all driving conditions.

Mansory Switzerland knows everything about Porsche cars and a couple of days ago they presented a new tuning programme for the Porsche 911 model at the Geneva Motor Show. They tried to improve the car’s aerodynamics, performances and handling and they reduced the car’s weight by installing body components made of PU-RIM. The new body kit gives the car a sportive and dynamic look and it consists of a new front apron which can be combined with the Mansory carbon hood with striking side beads, a rear apron that has an integrated four pipe exhaust system and new side skirts which make complete this body kit. Under the hood the Swiss tuners installed a new sport air filter and with the new exhaust, this Porsche 911 has 0-100km/h acceleration time faster than the stock version.

Hamann Porsche 911 Turbo

Hamann Porsche 911 Turbo

Porsche 911 Turbo is surely one of the fastest sport cars in the world at the moment but of course, there are still some car tuning companies, like Hamann that can modify anything, from Mini Cooper to Ferrari. If you are not pleased with the car’s initial power (480 HP), Hamann created a special performance tuning kit called Hamann Stallion that will boost the engine’s power to 630 HP. To gain this additional power they changed the car’s turbocompressors with new ones that are bigger and stronger and they also installed a new exhaust system made from stainless steel and they modified the car’s engine cooling unit. But the guys from Hamann weren’t pleased only with engine modifications. They also cut around 8 cm from the car’s roof, they equipped the car with 20″ rims, Lambo doors and they also made a lot of modifications to the car’s body kit to make it more aerodynamic.
