With a sinister look in all black, Startech has revealed their new styling package for the Range Rover Sport. The tuned SUV features a new aggressive front fascia, LED daytime running lights, 22-inch lightweight alloy rims, redesigned rear bumper with integrated exhaust ports, and a removable section to allow the use of a trailer hitch. Many tuning companies decide to custom the Range Rover HSE Sport and similar models because they are quite easy to modify for a classy look. Inside, the car received a new sport steering wheel, stainless steel scuff plates with illuminated Startech logo, aluminum pedals, and aftermarket floor mats. If Range Rover customers are looking for more, then the tuners offer a bespoke customization program consisting of leather upholstery, exotic wood trim, rear tray tables, and other special modifications.

Here is a tuned version of the Ariel Atom 3 from the guys at Wimmer RS. You may already know that the company who makes the Ariel Atom is now offering a 500 hp V8 version, but to be honest, that is too much power for this lightweight car. So, Wimmer RS came to play with an upgrade package capable of squeezing an extra 40 hp out of the 4-cylinder Civic engine that produces 300 horsepower stock. Included in the kit is a new engine optimization software, compressor overhaul, fuel pump conversion, and a high performance exhaust system put together by Rennkat. Results are 340 hp and 282 Nm of torque from this Ariel Atom 3 that only weighs 469 kg. Driving this go-kart-like car is blast, and the track numbers prove it with a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 2.8 seconds.

Spotted on the Essen Motor Show floors is this Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, put together by the Brabus affiliate Startech. Painted in a bright white color, this off-road capable SUV rides on 16-inch alloy rims wrapped in high performance tires. Adding extra style to the 4×4 Land Rover are new running boards with integrated entrance lights, a SVX grille, and white headlight covers. No blacking out of the exterior is seen here, since it is supposed to resemble a yacht, the Land Rover Defender 90 was decked out with white and wood accents throughout. The nautical themed cabin received most of the expensive modifications.

Previously, the Florida tuners from RENNtech released the C74 kit for the Mercedes C63 AMG, and now they offer a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system for the car. While the Mercedes looks great with the DTM-racecar-inspired body kit, the tuning firm wasn’t as satisfied with the stock exhaust sound. So they installed the Akrapovic unit which lightens the car by 43 lbs, and adds 12 extra horspower with 16 lb-ft of torque. I can’t say the exhaust note is something others will desire however, since it sort of sounds like the car could use some Gas-X. These interesting videos and pictures come from Subaru who are launching a new television commercial for the 2011 WRX STi. This isn’t your typical advertisement, and you must watch both the videos to get a good understanding of how they did it, flip book style. Subaru used an old school zoetrope style animation with the entire tv spot frame by frame on the side of a test track. Next came the STi with a camera attached to the side, one foot away from the wall, accelerating as fast as possible down the track to create the illusion of animation. It’s great to see the car outrun a giant mechanical spider, however I think I’d still prefer to see the Subaru STi rally car on the dirt track spewing clouds of dust from the all-wheel-drive.
