John Hennessey recently met with Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to test out the new cameras on the 85 mph section of Texas State Highway 130. Hennessey Performance brought out their Cadillac CTS-V with their very own VR1200 twin turbo kit producing 1,226 horsepower and 1,10 lb-ft of torque. Steven Tyler, Aerosmith frontman for the chart topping rock bank has received the first completed Hennessey Venom GT. Based on the Lotus Exige, Steve asked the Hennessey tuning company if they could make it a roadster with the removable top. They customized the roll cage so that it would work, however this came with the addition of 30 lbs. Staying true to their one horsepower per one kilogram power to weight ratio, Steve got his Venom GT with a little extra juice.

The new Hennessey tuned Lotus Exige called the Venom GT has been debuted at the McCall Motorworks Revival. This was part of the buildup for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and features the Lotus supercar announcement with all of its 1,200 horsepower greatness. Hennessey plans to produce five of these cars per year at a price of $950,000 (€660,190 / £577,850). It may sound like a lot for a Lotus Exige, but with the sports car holding a 6.2-liter V8 powerplant producing 1,200 hp (895 kW / 1,217 PS) and 1,155 lb-ft (1,564 Nm) of torque, we are sure some car collectors will pick this beast up.

The tuners at Hennessey Performance have released this heavily modified Cadillac CTS-V called the Black Diamond Sport Wagon. It actually carries a manual transmission for an extra sporty feel, and the Black Diamond Edition is a special option available from Cadillac dealers. What makes this SUV so unique is paintjob featuring SpectraFlair Bright Silver pigment. The paint looks almost 3D with the aluminum flakes used to give it that sparkle in the sunlight. Tuning for the Cadillac CTS-V consists of Brembo brake calipers, new satin black rims, and Recaro front seats. Power upgrades on the Caddy include the V700 package along with optional exhaust pipes to bypass the factory muffler.

Check out this video in the cockpit of a Hennessey Ford GT driven by Sean Kennedy at the Texas Mile track. The Ford sports car actually belongs to Mark Heidaker, but the race driver Sean was able to bring the car up to 235 mph (378 km/h) at the Texas Mile track. At the Hennessey tuning companies shop, a custom twin-turbo setup was installed, along with several other parts to bring the output to around 1,000 horsepower. With this kind of a power a straight line race is best, however the Ford GT is still great on the track with the right driver.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a Hennessey tuned Cadillac Escalade SUV racing the notorious Godzilla Nissan GTR. This new package from Hennessey Performance Engineering is called the HPE1000, and you probably already figured, produces 1,008 horsepower and 967 lb-ft of torque. The tuning company has twin-turbocharged the 7.0-liter V8 engine to allow the huge luxury truck to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. The factory Nissan GTR can only reach 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds. This Cadillac Escalade can also run the quarter mile in 11.3 seconds at 124 mph. A new tuning kit for the Chevy Camaro convertible has been released by Hennessey Performance. We now have a video of the tuned ride, called the HPE600, and featuring a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. A TVS2300 supercharger to be exact, along with new high flow fuel injectors, cold air induction system, sport exhaust system, and a re-programmed ECU to keep everything running smooth. After the tuning, the modded Camaro now produces 602 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque. At the track, this allows the Chevrolet to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, while completing the quarter mile in 12.0 seconds flat at 118 mph.

At the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Hennessey Performance will reveal their VENOM GT supercar that holds a twin-turbocharged Corvette ZR1-LS9 engine. The special car tuning performed by Hennessey will give the VENOM GT up to 1,200 bhp with a curb weight just under 2,400 lbs. These are amazing numbers, and you rarely hear of cars that boast a power-to-weight ratio of less than 2.5 to 1. Hennessey Performance based the VENOM GT of the Lotus Exige S chassis, however you can see it has been highly modified. The price for the vehicle including all tuning performed by Hennessey is $600,000 USD, and HPE reported that three orders have already been placed on this limited model.
