Aftermarket tuners are going above and beyond with whatever you want to call it, the Scion FR-S, Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ. That is the only problem with this sports car, we’re not sure what manufacturer to classify it under as both Toyota and Subaru have worked on it together. Identical cars from two different companies are rare these days, however it does make the tuning industry stronger since they can all form as one. We’re going to make it simple and call this car the FRZ86 from now on, see what we did there?

The guys at Speedhunters teamed up the KW suspension experts to create this 86X drift car based on the Toyota GT-86. (Also know as the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S depending on where you live) It recently participated in the Gatebil drift competition in Norway and plans to tour Europe while being driven by Fredric Aasbø. To get this car competition ready, the guys had to completely swap out the factory engine with a larger 2JZ-GTE sourced from a Toyota Supra.
