OK-Chiptuning Manta, Manta Porsche 911 Turbo

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013:

A wild car tuning package here from the guys at OK-Chiptuning for the 996 generation Porsche 911 Turbo. This exterior paint scheme was inspired by the 1991 German action comedy Manta, Manta where the protagonist of the movie drove an Opel Manta coupe. The colors you see here were placed over the original paint by using a foil wrap, while the tuners also installed TechArt pink rims with Opel logos. This makes us wonder why even both with the logos when it’s obviously a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Misha Porsche 911 Turbo

If your looking to trick out your Porsche 911 Turbo, there are many Porsche tuning companies out there and this latest package comes from Misha Designs. This kit was designed for the turbo Porsche version, however some parts can be fitted on all 911 models. Starting off with the exterior, a lower lip was installed along with a diffuser for the rear bumper, hood with optional carbon fiber vanes, side skirts, and an extra blade for the cars stock spoiler. For additional cooling the front bumper features air ducts and a vent at the top to release pressurized air from the engine bay. The new lower lip comes in three pieces, so if that nasty speed bump or parking stop decides to scratch your Porsche 911 Turbo, you can simply remove the lower section.

Previously, 9ff created the world’s fastest Porsche 911 Turbo with the GT9-R, and now have closely matched the numbers with the new TR-1000. Road testing was completed at the ATP testing circuit in Papenburg, Germany where the Porsche 911 Turbo TR 1000 reached amazing top speed of 392 km/h. Under the hood is where the beauty lies, with a flat-six cylinder engine and the addition of larger turbochargers. To accomplish that race speed the engine needed new camshafts, titanium connecting rods, crankshaft, larger intercooler, and of course ECU tuning. Underneath an aftermarket high performance exhaust system was installed, and the modified Porsche 911 Turbo produced a stunning 1000 hp and 1040 Nm of torque at 7800 rpm.

TechArt Porsche 911 Turbo

TechArt Porsche 911 Turbo

TechArt modified many supercars made by Porsche but they really amazed us this summer when they revealed GT Street RS, a rocket on wheels based on Porsche 911 GT2. Now, their latest creation is a modified Porsche 911 Turbo, a car that received a lot of modifications from TechArt. The stock 911 turbo could reach incredible speeds but this GTstreet R is even faster than that. TechArt GTstreet R has a new performance kit called TA097/T3, a name that would be really good for a science fiction movie. All those letters and numbers represent the 660 HP and a torque of 860 for this reinvented 911 Turbo. Read More →
