The tuners from AMS Performance have put together the ultimate package so far for the Nissan GT-R called the Alpha 9. Coming close to many of the Bugatti Veyron’s world records, the new GT-R kit catapults the stock 530 horsepower to an amazing 800 crank hp with a few major upgrades. These include new billet wheel ball bearing turbos, new turbo inlet pipes, a larger front mount intercooler, 90 mm exhaust system, custom calibrated MAF sensors, and new ECU tuning to keep everything running smooth. The Nissan GT-R is now able to run the 1/4 mile in 9.95 seconds seconds at 141 mph, which set a new pump gas R35 GTR quarter mile record. Pricing for this package starts at $21,999 USD, however we are sure they will continue to improve it to eventually push close to 1,000 horsepower, and beat all the current Bugatti records at a fraction of the cost.
Nissan
Last weekend I was driving on the highway and got my first chance to witness a Nissan GT-R in action. The guy driving the godzilla Nissan flew by my truck going atleast 120+ mph and the only way I could tell it was the new GT-R was from the taillights since it was dark outside. The way it shook the ground and rattled my truck as it zoomed by makes me want to take out a loan for one tomorrow, and these official track numbers from Nissan sound promising. At the Sendai Hi-land Race Way, the 2012 Nissan GTR 0-100 km/h acceleration time was tested, and did not disappoint. It wasn’t able to break the 3 second mark, however was spot on 3.0 seconds. Considering this was a factory standard edition shows the true potential of these AWD cars.
The Nissan Juke is becoming more popular by the day, and we’re slowly seeing new aftermarket parts available for the unique Japanese crossover. Previously, we posted some pictures of a photo-shopped Nissan Juke tuning job, but now the tuners from Germany’s Cobra Technology have released these styling upgrades. Giving it a rougher and tougher look are a stainless steel front grille guard with a pair of LED daytime running lights, which are also said to meet the European pedestrian safety standards. Other custom parts consist of tubular side steps, a sports exhaust system with twin tail pipes, and the customers choice of 19 or 20-inch multi-spoke alloy rims for their modified Juke.
Here is a new package released by Senner Tuning for the Nissan 370Z called the Asphalt Surfer. The exterior styling received minimal modifications, featuring a new set lightweight alloy Tsunami wheels and decals along the sides. These wheels are available in either a racing white or matte black finish, and measure to be 20×9 in the front, and 20×10 at the rear. Also improving the look is a new sport suspension package priced at 1,499 EUR to give the Nissan 370Z an aggressive stance. The German tuning firm moved onto the engine bay next, and hooked the car up with an extensive upgrade program under the hood.
The Nissan Juke is now for sale in Japan, and many tuning enthusiasts will want to get their hands on the unique half sports car, half SUV from Nissan. It’s been breaking all records according to sales reports, with 5,000 already ordered. Nissan only expected to sell 1,000 units at first, but I guess this fresh new look has attracted buyers from all over. The picture above is a photoshopped image from JDMsociety of what a Juke tuning would look like if sporting Volk TE27 rims, slammed to the ground, and yellow headlights. From the factory the Nissan Juke will carry a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 4WD producing 180 horsepower.
