Several popular tuners have released their concept images of packages for the all new 2014 Volkswagen Golf. These include ABT Sportsline, MTM and Oettinger offering unique styling and performance upgrades. Starting off with ABT, they have put together a complete kit featuring a front apron, grille, light accents, mirror covers, side skirts, rear apron and integrated diffuser. Tuning under the hood came next, but don’t forget that these new Golf engines are severely underpowered from the factory.
MTM is the latest tuning company to have a take on the Audi A7 Sportback TDI. The tuners from Senner had just released their project a couple days ago, but this A7 matches up just as well. MTM was able to push the factory performance numbers of 245 HP and 500 Nm of torque to 285 HP and 580 Nm of torque for the first option. A second tuning option available for the Audi A7 boosts the figures to 300 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Both of these packages are priced at 1,392 Euros (US$2,000), which does include the installment of the kit.
MTM decided to bring this Audi A1 to the annual Nardo Highspeed meet, producing 500 PS and 600 Nm of torque from the swapped 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine found in the Audi TT-RS. This is the testing ground for many popular tuners, such as 9ff, SpeedArt, and G-Power, while MTM had one of the most stunning cars with the Audi A1. The power from the new engine is transferred to the front wheels through a six-speed manual, allowing the A1 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, and reach an amazing top speed of 324 km/h.
Here is the latest tuning job performed by MTM on the new Audi R8 V10 Biturbo. It will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show next week, and most likely blind all the camera’s with the chrome exterior. If you ever plan on wrapping your car in chrome, or painting it a bright color, you always need to remember that you will be drawing attention to traffic cops in your modified car. You better hope that your car is faster than the police cars, so that they won’t feel the need to chase you since you will be long gone by the time they start. This custom Audi R8 V10 produces 766 horsepower and 888 Nm of torque, with a predicted top speed of over 360 km/h once the tuning is completed. As it sits right now, the Audi R8 was able to reach 347.6 km/h, reported by the MotorVision.de website.
The tuning firm MTM has released a modest kit for the recently launched five-door coupe Audi A7 prestigious Sportback. Focusing on the sports car performance and handling, the MTM program accomplished both considerably well. Although not available for all engines in the A7 luxury range, the tuners at MTM were able to increase the output of the 3.0 liter diesel engine from 244 hp to 285 horsepower. This boost of power was achieved from the MTM M-Cantronic module developed for the Audi A7, and priced at 1,250 Euro. Handling was improved with the installation of the world renowned Bimoto 9-spoke race design wheels, along with 20mm or 30mm spacers for the customer to choose.
