Mugen Tuned Honda CR-Z RR

Check out these new pictures of the Mugen tuned Honda CR-Z RR that debuted with the CR-Z Concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This highly modified RR model is the work of the Japanese tuning division of Mugen, while the original Honda CR-Z was put together by Mugen Euro in the UK. The RR tuning kit features several bespoke parts with many made from carbon fiber. Some of the carbon pieces include the new bonnet, passenger doors, and rear tailgate, while underneath is a full length carbon fiber underbody holding a central exit exhaust system. Everyone seems to love a Mugen tuned Honda, that’s for sure.

Here are the pictures of the CR-Z Mugen model released by Honda, before the official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The modified compact car received a new aero package, sport suspension, brake kit, and new alloy wheels to make it more appealing. It also weighs 50 kg less than the factory Honda CR-Z, and while the exact specifications have not yet been announced, we do know that it will hold a supercharged 1.5-liter engine under the bonnet. This powerplant will be matched up with a IMA hybrid system to produce a satisfying 200 PS and 181 lb-ft of torque.

Honda CR-Z with K20 VTEC Swap

December 21, 2010 | CATEGORIES: Honda

Most owners of the CR-Z and future Honda hybrid buyers will notice the cars lack of power while driving. This is expected from a small 2.0-liter four cylinder with additional electric power, however the Florida-based tuning firm at LHT Performance decided to try something different. They also like to note that everything still works 100%, which is pretty hard to accomplish these days with the sophisticated electronics controlling things like the cruise control, VSA, ABS, and the technical gauge cluster.

Crazy Custom Honda Civic

If you were driving down the street next to this car, it would be hard to tell what is really under all the body modifications. It happens to be a Honda Civic sedan with a Lexus IS350 rear end and a Toyota Crown front end. This has to be one of the most interesting body transformations I’ve seen, and it actually looks pretty good. The stance of this Civic, Lexus, Toyota, or whatever you want to call it, is what really sets it apart. It was put together by Japan’s Junction Produce tuning shop as indicated on the trunk, and now carries a crazy custom VIP styling that won’t be forgotten. So what do you think? Is this a fail, or something to keep in mind for your Honda Civic that needs a makeover. Hit the jump to see more pictures.
