Here we have the latest video from Ford, who have announced plans to introduce ten new tuned cars at the upcoming SEMA Show. Starting off is a new Ford Focus with Roush Stage 3 tuning. It will feature a new induction system with a supercharger and dual exhaust. On the exterior is a matte finish along with a front lip spoiler and unique graphics. If that doesn’t suite you, Ford will have plenty of high modified Focus models on display. Six others to be exact, including one of the jobs being performed by Capaldi Racing.
The ECU tuning professionals at Superchips have launched a new software upgrade for the Ford Fiesta Zetec S found in the UK. From the factory, the Ford 1.6-liter Ti-VCT (twin independent cam timing engine) produces 120 horsepoer. After the Superchip ECU installed, figures show a 10 bhp power increase at 5,986 rpm, and 13 extra newton meters of torque at 4,390 rpm. The car tuning company announced that this will work with either the 95 or 98 octane fuel, and if driven conservatively, will maintain the Ford Fiesta Zetec 48 mpg fuel economy.
Although Ken Block stated last year was one of his best ever, the numbers show a disappointing FIA World Rally Championship campaign in his new Monster Energy Ford Fiesta RS rally car. Mechanical issues also plagued his performance in Rally America, however the Monster World Rally Team (MWRT) is hoping for an improved 2011 season with even more races and events. Some notable mentions in the United States include the Summer X Games, Gymkhana GRID, and select RallyCar rallies and RallyCross events across the states in his Ford Fiesta RS WRC car. Another crazy video has come to us featuring Ken Block drifting his Ford Fiesta in the latest Gymkhana 3. The video series has been more than entertaining with each installment, and this one tops them all by combining both street racing and drifting, with a NASCAR style track. It wouldn’t be a DC Shoes and Monster video production without the skilled Ken Block drifting in his newly modified Ford Fiesta around cones, corners, and up vertical walls. Here is the first run Ken Block has ever made in his new Ford Fiesta Rally Car, preparing for the Sno*Drift Rally America Series. Monster released this snow drift video run yesterday when Ken Block was prepping, and the competition starts today. Check out this two and half minute video of Block packing down the icy roads of Gladwin, MI. He hits triple digits in the Ford Fiesta, topping out the six speed transmission on one very long straight away, and drifts around the trees with ease, which is what he’s known for. More information covering the rally race can be found at Rally America. Hit the jump to see the inaugural video run.
