At the 2013 Life Ball event in Vienna, Austria this Roberto Cavalli gold-themed Mini Paceman sold for €150,000 or $194,000 with all proceeds helping HIV/AIDS. This is the most expensive Mini ever sold at a Life Ball auction, and Ralf Schepull, the head of Mini brand communications said, “We are very pleased that the one-off MINI has sold for a record price and can thus make a special contribution to projects dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS. The charity principle is an important part of the MINI brand, which enjoys a unique platform through this partnership with the Life Ball.”

Famous comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham pulled the covers off his “Project UltraViolet” Dodge Challenger SRT8 at this week’s SEMA Show. This was a collaboration project between Mopar, SRT and Jeff’s crew from Palmer’s Customs based out of Camarillo, California. The car combines an ultra-violoet paint with a black upper half, and received a variety of exterior modifications to make it one bad machine.

Inspired by members of the Justice League, Kia has flown over their new line of DC Comics superhero cars for the SEMA Show. They are called the Flash Forte Koup, Aquaman Rio 5-door, Cyborg Forte 5-door, Green Lantern Soul and the Batman Optima which was originally seen at the New York International Auto Show a few weeks ago. This is a new movement by DC Entertainment to raise funds and awareness about the hunger crisis in the Horn of Africa.
