Lotus had their Mansory tuned Evora at the Geneva Motor Show, and have now announced that the Mansory tuning company will be the official customization shop for future Lotus projects. Wolf Zimmerman stated, “Mansory are leaders in their field and having worked closely with them on the Evora GTE and the special editions we’ve unveiled recently”. They are confident that this partnership will lead to many nice Lotus cars in the near future, and we can’t wait to see what they can produce. The German tuners will soon have special editions for the Lotus Elise, Exige and Lotus Evora for those wanting a boost in performance or styling.
Check out this Honda S2000 wheelie at the TX2K12 drag racing event in Texas this past weekend. It’s amazing how much power these tuners are able to pack into the small Honda S2000 sports car. Just because you can fit a 2JZGTE in the engine bay, doesn’t mean the car can handle it. If only they could make the Honda S2000 AWD, then it might have been able to take the Toyota Supra off the line.

Acura finally made an announcement at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show of the new Acura NSX set to be produced by Honda R&D America. This means the supercar will be constructed at the plant located in central Ohio, and US citizens will get a first hand look of the finished product in the next couple years. They say this Acura NSX will go on sale within three years, giving it an approximate arrival of 2015. What they didn’t tell us until the unveiling is that is looks VERY similar to the Audi R8.
With the 2011 LA Auto Show wrapping up over the weekend, we brought you all the best coverage with the new releases. There was everything from the new Subaru BRZ STI concept to the hot off the press BMW i8. Ford kept their typical fashion with the Shelby GT500, while Cadillac has been busy with the ELR and Ciel projects. German tuning company Gemballa has announced their new racing division in development which will produce two McLaren MP4-12C GT3s for next season. They are both fitted with a new front spoiler, optimized air vents, large rear wing, and rear diffuser underneath. Inside is a carbon safety cell, while the McLaren’s will also hold a F1 style steering wheel with integrated display.
One of the most amazing cars in the world, the Pagani Huayra, is planned to debut on US show floors in 2013. This comes after the US Department of Transportation announced the car would not be allowed in America because of the lacking airbag system. Pagani plans to change this problem with the Huayra, so they will be able to manufacture 15 units at a price of $1,375,000, and an extra $374,000 for the airbag upgrade to make it street legal. With that cost you’d expect it to have some gold plated airbag covers inside, but instead you’ll find an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin turbo V12 engine under the hood producing more than 700 horsepower and 1,000 newton meters of torque.
With Miami being a large market for Lamborghini, the Italian automaker decided to unveil the brand new Aventador near South Beach. Many car tuning enthusiasts were in attendence, including Valentino Balboni himself, accompanied by several hot car girls. Can you say bat mobile? The matte black Lamborghini Aventador revealed here looks stunning, and before this only white, orange and red versions had hit the press videos and pictures. Unlike the Murcielago, Gallardo, or super expensive Reventon, the Lamborghini Aventador appears in the middle of the pack for a whopping $379,700.
In less than two weeks, Top Gear America Season 2 will premier on the History Channel! Set for the Sunday July 24th launch, this video features the stars of the show, Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara, and Rutledge Wood.
