With all the buzz about the Nissan Juke this past year, the world premiere for the Nissan Juke Nismo edition should have fans at the edge of their seats. Especially since the debut will take place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race from June 13th through the 17th. The concept was first seen on display at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, and this performance model will be the first to enter production in a series of new Nissan Nismo cars.
A fellow reader sent us this video of the King of Europe drift event sponsored by Dotz Tuning Wheels. This took place in Poznan, Poland and featured 67 tuned cars to hit the track along with the Dotz Drift Team. Three of their top drivers, Adam Kerenyi, Sebastien Cornec and Diego Quaranta killed it, while you can see some of the powerful rides in the video below. This drift event was mostly made up of Nissan’s and BMW’s, however a couple Toyota’s and large trucks were seen tearing it up as well.
The Miami based tuners at 360 Forged have hooked up this Nissan GTR with their latest set of Concave Spec 12 wheels. Making the powerful Nissan supercar even more stylish, these rims measuring 21×9.5 up front and 21×12 at the rear. They feature brushed titanium centers, a deep chrome lip and were wrapped in high performance Pirellis P-Zero tires measuring 255/30/21 at the front and 375/20/21 in the rear. If you’re interested in some performance tuning to go along with the new look from the 360 Forged rims, then be sure to check out the AMS tuned Nissan GTR that set new records worldwide.
Check out this JDM M35 Nissan Stagea with a Nissan GTR front end. This is very similar to one of the first R35 GTR station wagon that was seen at the Nagoya Auto Show in 2009. Looks like the body sculptor did an excellent job with the front bumper, fenders and hood to make it look almost stock. Many Nissan GTR tuning enthusiasts will be impressed with this project as it will surely turn heads driving down the road.
It is finally here, the Nisan GTR Nismo GT3 race car that was put together by JR Motorsports. It has been under construction since 2011 and has gone through numerous tests to reach perfection. The Nismo GTR is powered by the factory 3.8-liter twin turbo, however the V6 delivering 530 PS will only go to one drive axle instead of the stock AWD. This will make the Nissan sports car much faster for racing conditions, while the aerodynamics will help the handling as well. While this isn’t the fastest Nissan GTR ever built, it is one of the most appealing in terms of styling.
Ever since Nissan announced the plans for the Juke-R, we have seen this matte black Juke quite often since it received the same engine as the Nissan GTR. Check out the video below for a preview of what the launch control looks and sounds like on the Nissan Juke-R while it accelerates through Goodwood. While the Juke-R has the same powerplant as the GTR with the 3.8-liter twin turbos, the cars do sound a little different. We’re guessing this is from the exhaust system being shorter in length overall, but judge for yourself in the Nissan Juke-R acceleration video.
Check out this crazy World War II jet fighter paint job on a Nissan Silvia S14 240sx. It’s interesting to see a German themed paint job on a Japanese car, but don’t mind that because it still looks pretty wild. As most tuners know, this is called a Nissan 240sx in America, and a Nissan 200sx in Europe. Japan keeps it simple with the S14 title, so don’t get confused, they are all the same car. While it definitely received some great attention to detail, we do see a Swastika symbol on the rear bumper, so the owner better hope it doesn’t get vandalized because that is the most hated symbol of Nazi Germany. Be sure to check out more Nissan 240sx tuning projects if that is your style.
The tuners at AMS definitely know what their doing when it comes to the Nissan GTR. In October at the Texas Mile event, they were able to set a new top speed record with the Nissan GTR Alpha 12 package by hitting 216.9 miles per hour. With their most recently tuned R35 GTR as seen in the videos below, this amazing sports car was able to accomplish a 8.6263 quarter mile time at 173.8 mph. Calling it the Alpha Omega GT-R, this kit pulled 1,602 AWHP with 1,152 lb-ft of torque on the dyno. Check out the Nissan GTR in action below.
We all know a Ferrari 458 Italia supercar is fast, but how does the notorious Prancing Horse match up to some of the competition that is less than half the price. We have a video here from drag times, recording a stock Ferrari 458 Italia racing an Audi RS6 with 750 horsepower, an AMS tuned Nissan GTR-R with 600 HP, and a Lingenfelter Corvette ZR1 carrying 750 horsepower. These three sports cars race the Ferrari 458 on a 1 mile run, so hit the jump to see how it all went down!
Fox Marketing has announced their plans to tune the Nissan Juke crossover which has become popular among tuning companies this past year. Even Nissan has announced a Super Juke-R version they are currently working on that will carry the same twin turbo V6 engine and all-wheel-drive platform as the Nissan GTR super car. While Fox Marketing waits out the arrival of the Nissan Juke-R they plan to customize the original 1.6-liter engine with a large turbo kit to increase the power up to 400 HP.
We never saw this one coming, but with all the positive results of the Nissan Juke sales, Nissan has announced plans of a Super Juke. It is rumored to hold a 480 horsepower engine, which would most likely be the same 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 found in the Nissan GTR. If so, this slightly de-tuned Super Juke will still blow the tops off of any regular Nissan Juke tuning projects. Just check out the official sketch that hit the web this past week, showing a Nissan Juke sporting a new wide body kit, Nissan GT-R style alloy wheels, hood vents similar to the GT-R, and a rear wing.
The Stillen tuning company has announced a new supercharger kit for the Nissan 370Z to boost the performance. It’s been a while since we have seen any tuners tackle the Nissan sport car or the Infiniti G37, but this package looks promising. When installed on the 3.7-liter powerplant, it is said to increase the power output to around 500 horses. Stillen has comfirmed that the Nissan 370Z kit meets the California Air Resources Board regulations, and is completely legal in the United States.
