Here is a James Bond car being offered for sale by a UK Lotus dealership, the new Lotus Evora painted in iconic livery from the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only”. At a press event in the French Alps, the Lotus Evora was used as a demonstrator where journalist drove the car on ice. It is painted in a bronze metallic with a set of gold stripes along the sides, emulating the Lotus Esprit that James Bond drove. The advertisement states that the car has traveled 12,932 miles since 2009, and comes with a Ski Rack for an extra cost.

Hennessey Performance officially revealed the first images and full details about the Venom GT, a supercar based off the Lotus Elise and Exige models. Powered by a 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine from a Corvette ZR1, the tuners were able to boost the output to 725 hp. Hennessey Performance also plans to offer a twin-turbo version of the V8, with numbers well beyond 1,000 horsepower. The Venom GT car you see here weighs only 1,071 kg thanks to the carbon fiber body, and wheel package put together with the lightest parts. With this light of a car, Hennessey claims the 1,200 hp model can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 440 km/h. It should destory the factory Bugatti Veyron, since its top speed is only 408 km/h, and the Venom GT is significantly lighter.
At the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Hennessey Performance will reveal their VENOM GT supercar that holds a twin-turbocharged Corvette ZR1-LS9 engine. The special car tuning performed by Hennessey will give the VENOM GT up to 1,200 bhp with a curb weight just under 2,400 lbs. These are amazing numbers, and you rarely hear of cars that boast a power-to-weight ratio of less than 2.5 to 1. Hennessey Performance based the VENOM GT of the Lotus Exige S chassis, however you can see it has been highly modified. The price for the vehicle including all tuning performed by Hennessey is $600,000 USD, and HPE reported that three orders have already been placed on this limited model.
Lotus Cars USA has released a factory style supercharger kit for the Lotus Elise and Lotus Exige models that come naturally aspirated. Owners who bought their Lotus Elise or Lotus Exige before this blower kit was available, can now bring their car back to an authorized Lotus dealer and have the car tuning performed. After the kit is installed on the 1.8 liter Toyota engine, performance numbers increase from 189 hp and 133 ft lbs or torque to 218 hp and 155 ft lbs of torque. The new system is warrantied and legal in all 50 states, while also being certified for emissions. The supercharger kit also comes with high flow injectors, ECU recalibration, and a redesigned intake manifold to add the supercharger. Even though torque gains are minimal, the performance numbers now peak at 5,000 rpms instead of 6,800 rpms. Lotus has not yet released pricing for the supercharger kit.
