There have been several releases so far for the SEMA Show starting this week, but this particular tuning project caught my eye and is based on the Hyundai Equus. This DUB Edition Hyundai looks like a luxury car that could be worth hundreds of thousands, however under all the customizations it is still an affordable Hyundai Equus. It sports a stunning exterior, interior, and even audio modifications from the well-known and exclusive DUB Magazine. The president and co-founder, Myles Kovacs said, “We know that SEMA show-goers look forward to seeing the cool new cars like Equus and the unique ways we customize them. With this car we tried to give tuners an idea of what modifications can be done within the luxury segment.”

Here’s an attempt to build some hype around the new 2011 Hyundai Sonata that comes with a 2.0-liter turbo engine stock from the factory. Hyundai teamed up with RIDES and 0-60 magazine in order to customize the 274 horsepower saloon for the upcoming SEMA car show. It takes place in Las Vegas this November, and the South Korean tuning firm had no problem admitting the cars tune-up was inspired by Porsche, Mercedes, and Ferrari models. At the SEMA Show, Hyundai says the exterior styling modifications will be “modest and tasteful”, while only this teaser picture has been released so far.
Rhys Millen Racing has revealed the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe that has been developed to debut at the 2009 SEMA Show. The show is less than one week away and many manufacturers are already releasing their works. Rhys Millen Racing (RMR) has taken the RM460 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and completely transformed the vehicle to a true race car by moving the engine to the rear. It now carries the award winning 4.6-liter Tau V8 engine capable of producing 500 hp. Rhys Millen has added a new AEM engine management system to the Hyundai Genesis to go along with ECU tuning and tweaking. Replacing the stock transmission, RMR went with a new Mendeola 5-speed sequential transmission that allows the Genesis Coupe to reach a top speed of 182 mph.
GReddy Performance Parts has paired up with Hyundai to begin manufacturing new products for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe that has been raising eyebrows. Expect the new high performance parts to be launched at the 2009 SEMA Show on the GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe. The production tuning kit will include all the parts needed for the Hyundai Genesis 2.0T engine. The GReddy Total Tune-Up package will be a blend of performance, handling, and braking improvements. Hyundai plans to market the car as a reliable street performance vehicle with a powerful driving experience. At first they plan to increase the numbers to 350 hp and 320 ft lbs of torque, but after the SEMA Show further plans are to push nearly 500 horsepower.
