Check out this Honda S2000 wheelie at the TX2K12 drag racing event in Texas this past weekend. It’s amazing how much power these tuners are able to pack into the small Honda S2000 sports car. Just because you can fit a 2JZGTE in the engine bay, doesn’t mean the car can handle it. If only they could make the Honda S2000 AWD, then it might have been able to take the Toyota Supra off the line.
Acura finally made an announcement at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show of the new Acura NSX set to be produced by Honda R&D America. This means the supercar will be constructed at the plant located in central Ohio, and US citizens will get a first hand look of the finished product in the next couple years. They say this Acura NSX will go on sale within three years, giving it an approximate arrival of 2015. What they didn’t tell us until the unveiling is that is looks VERY similar to the Audi R8.
Fox Marketing has released pictures of their take on the Honda Civic Si prior to the SEMA Show next week. It will be displayed at the automotive aftermarket super show, featuring plenty of upgrades to go around. The tuners installed a large turbo kit on the Honda LMP1/LMP2 IndyCar engine, then added a custom body kit and 20-inch alloy wheels. After the Honda tuning was completed, the Honda Civic Si now puts down 450 horsepower, which Fox Marketing claims will be good for over 100,000 miles.
Check out this black and yellow Honda Civic sporting some Bugatti Veyron styling in a parking lot. For this 1992-1995 model it looks as if the only major modification was the front bumper, side skirts, and custom rear quarter panels. Headlights look to be aftermarket but still have the same factory shape to them.
Fox Marketing has announced a brand new tuning kit for the 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe that is said to be in the range of 500 horsepower. It will feature a turbocharged engine, upgraded chassis to handle all this power, and several exterior styling mods. While the factory Honda Civic Si will produce 201 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque, this kit from Fox Marketing will definitely keep the younger generation who tune these cars interested. Check out the gallery after the jump to get a sneak preview of what the completed Honda Civic Si will look like, and stay tuned for more Honda Civic tuning projects.
