Minor ECU Tuning for Ford Fiesta Zetec S

The ECU tuning professionals at Superchips have launched a new software upgrade for the Ford Fiesta Zetec S found in the UK. From the factory, the Ford 1.6-liter Ti-VCT (twin independent cam timing engine) produces 120 horsepoer. After the Superchip ECU installed, figures show a 10 bhp power increase at 5,986 rpm, and 13 extra newton meters of torque at 4,390 rpm. The car tuning company announced that this will work with either the 95 or 98 octane fuel, and if driven conservatively, will maintain the Ford Fiesta Zetec 48 mpg fuel economy.

Hennessey Ford GT at Texas Mile Track

Check out this video in the cockpit of a Hennessey Ford GT driven by Sean Kennedy at the Texas Mile track. The Ford sports car actually belongs to Mark Heidaker, but the race driver Sean was able to bring the car up to 235 mph (378 km/h) at the Texas Mile track. At the Hennessey tuning companies shop, a custom twin-turbo setup was installed, along with several other parts to bring the output to around 1,000 horsepower. With this kind of a power a straight line race is best, however the Ford GT is still great on the track with the right driver.

Roush Ford Mustang Stage 3 Kit

The Ford tuning specialists at Roush have released a new Stage 3 kit also called the RS3 package for the 2012 Ford Mustang sports car. Two months ago the Stage 1 and 2 kits were launched, and now with the Stage 3, the Mustang reaches a whole new level. This one was specially made for the 5.0-liter V8, fitted with a R2300 ROUSHcharger, and boosting the car 12 psi. Final numbers after the performance tuning, new induction system, and custom exhaust show figures of 540 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The tuners didn’t stop there however, they also customized the exterior to make it more unique.

Anderson Germany is at it again, this time with a beefed up version of the Ford Forus RS producing an extra 100 horses. The tuners are calling this the Ford Focus RS Black Racing Edition, and offer tuning for the turbocharged 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine. Output has been increased up to 420 PS, or 414 bhp, up from the 305 PS or 301 bhp. This special Ford racing car features a matte black exterior finish with contrasting red accents throughout. Inside the Focus RS is black leather with new Alcantara and red stitching. Look out for the official launch of the Ford Focus from Anderson Germany.

Here is the latest tuning work from the guys at GeigerCars, based on the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. They are calling it the GT640 Golden Snake since the car now produces 640 PS and 789 Nm of torque from the 5.4-liter V8 engine. It comes equipped with a supercharger, reprogrammed ECU, and stainless steel exhaust system allowing the Mustang sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph). However, that’s not all of the tuning it received, the car didn’t get the Golden Snake nickname for no reason.
