A new tuning kit for the Chevy Camaro convertible has been released by Hennessey Performance. We now have a video of the tuned ride, called the HPE600, and featuring a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. A TVS2300 supercharger to be exact, along with new high flow fuel injectors, cold air induction system, sport exhaust system, and a re-programmed ECU to keep everything running smooth. After the tuning, the modded Camaro now produces 602 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque. At the track, this allows the Chevrolet to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, while completing the quarter mile in 12.0 seconds flat at 118 mph.

Chevrolet has sent us these videos with some behind the scenes action starring Nascar driver Austin Dillon. They are promoting their new Cruze-Arati.com campaign for the all new Chevy Cruze compact car. In the states, Nascar is one of the most exciting motor sports, and having the chance to see what goes on in the shop is rare. We have three new videos from Chevrolet, featuring Amy Martin interviewing Austin Dillon from Richard Childress Racing. They show everything from fixing up the race cars, to hitting the gym, and even a demo of how quick a pit stop can occur.
The new Irmscher i42 Camaro was a hit at the Essen Motor Show, and now the tuning company plans to start producing a limited run of these cars. Based on the Chevrolet Camaro SS, it comes with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, but received a supercharger and custom exhaust for extra power. The tuners were able to boost the horsepower number to 509, and the track figures don’t lie. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, and top out at 275 km/h, which is much more powerful than the factory Camaro SS. This Chevy Camaro i42 needed a high performance brake kit from Irmscher, so they installed 380 mm discs with 6-piston calipers at the front, and 355 mm discs with 4-piston calipers at the rear.
Here is the latest car tuning project from Hennessey Performance based on the all new Chevy Camaro SS called the HPE600. The orange car you see here is actually the model for the HPE550 package, but we think it looks better than the maroon HPE600 pictured below. It will be available for the 2010-2011 LS3 or L99 engines and boosted with a TVS2300 Supercharger System. Hence the HPE600 name, the modified Camaro now puts down 602 hp and 807 Nm of torque. The tuners who are located in Texas, claim that the 0-60 mph time is in the mid three-second range, and it can run the quarter mile in 11 seconds. A full list of performance customizations include the new supercharger system, HPE cold air induction system, 1 7/8 inch long tube stainless steel headers, fuel injector upgrade, high flowing catalytic converters, HPE engine management calibration, and a dyno tune to get everything in sync.
The car manufacturers from Chevrolet have brought a trio of test cars for their new Z-Spec line of aftermarket accessories for the Chevy Volt, Cruze, and Spark models. The first teaser is with the concept version of the all-new Volt electric car. Sure, an electric vehicle is not a typical tuning project, however that doesn’t mean it can’t look good with a body kit, blacked-out trim, and a new wheel package. The Chevy Volt also received a new sports steering wheel, leather wrapped Recaro seats, and racing foot pedals. This new Z-Spec lineup is being showcased on the three small cars; the Volt, Cruze, and Spark right now, but in the future Chevrolet plans to offer the whole line to all models. Chris Perry, the vice president of Chevrolet marketing said, “Chevrolets have always been vehicles customers love to personalize and Z-Spec could give them more choices than ever.” Hit the jump to view the full press release and see all the pictures.
