At the Tokyo Auto Salon this year we saw a wide range of Toyota 86 or Scion FR-S models from the Japanese car manufacturer. To go along with these, a recently announced Toyota Mark X G Sport sedan was released that features a carbon fiber roof. Replacing the factory steel, the new carbon rooftop reduces the body weight and improves overall driving performance.
Besides the roof modification, the Toyota Mark X G Sports sedan received no additional parts and still holds the Lexus GS platform with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 314 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. The power is transferred through a 6-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. Now we just have to wait and see what the aftermarket industry can do with this stunning vehicle.
