The guys from Performance Power Racing (PPR) have put together this heavy modified Ford GT that just set a new Guinness World Record for it’s mile long top speed of 283 mph. It was tested at the Kennedy Space Center on the Shuttle Landing Facility runway at NASA in Florida. Performance tuning consists of two new turbochargers and many engine components made of new “pandalloy” which is an aerospace aluminum alloy that is very light, yet holds superior strength and temperature resistance.
Now the specifications for this Ford GT tuning project show around 1,700 horsepower that was able to reach 283.232 mph in 5,280 feet or one mile. Check out the video below of the Ford GT in action, and at the end you will hear them talking about 300 mph coming soon!
