Jet Powered Speed Racing Video by Degree

Paul Stender Jet Powered Speed Racing Bus

Here is our video of the month featuring Bear Grylls and brought to us by the Degree Men Adrenaline Lab. This unique video covers the jet powered speed racing world and mad man himself, Paul Stender. He owns several of these jet powered cars and it is his passion. The school bus you see here has over 42,000 HORSEPOWER. Yes that horsepower number is correct, and equal to around 247 average cars. Waste of fuel you say? Definitely, but the speeds that you can obtain on the ground in these jet powered cars is insane. How fast you ask?

Speeds vary depending on the size of the car and the jet engine used, but the typical jet powered car can hit around 400 miles per hour! Very risky if you ask us, but that’s why this is part of the Degree Men Adrenaline Lab. They go behind the scenes to find out the lifestyle of true adrenaline junkies around the world.

The most dangerous part about this hobby is trying to slow down the rocket cars with a parachute. Upon deployment, Paul Stender pulls 3Gs when the parachute deploys, which is just asking for disaster. Paul has never been in a jet powered car crash, however in other events he has broken 26 bones, endured 3 concussions, and even had both his eyes pop out of his head which is called “globe luxation”. Stay tuned for more insane jet powered car tuning and check out the other Degree Men Adrenaline Lab videos below.
