Honda CR-Z Mugen

Honda CR-Z Mugen

Here are the pictures of the CR-Z Mugen model released by Honda, before the official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The modified compact car received a new aero package, sport suspension, brake kit, and new alloy wheels to make it more appealing. It also weighs 50 kg less than the factory Honda CR-Z, and while the exact specifications have not yet been announced, we do know that it will hold a supercharged 1.5-liter engine under the bonnet. This powerplant will be matched up with a IMA hybrid system to produce a satisfying 200 PS and 181 lb-ft of torque.

At the track, this custom Honda CR-Z with Mugen tuning can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds. A representative from Mugen Euro, Colin Whittamore said, “We’ve retained the three driving modes from the standard car and economy ranges from 50+mpg in ‘eco’ mode to mid-30 mpg when tapping into the supercharged power in a special ‘MUGEN’ mode.” This gives the driver some options, whether they want to conserve fuel, or have some fun by pushing the Honda tuning to the max.
