Dominating the limelight at the AC Schnitzer booth were the BMW Z4-based 99d sports car, and the BMW 550i-based ACS5. The Geneva Motor Show was a hit this year, and both of these models offer superb performance without sacraficing the fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The BMW Z4 99d received a 2.0-liter, 190 horsepower turbo diesel engine, while the BMW 550i ACS5 holds a 4.4-liter V8 producing 540 horses from the turbocharged powerplant. Last month at the Geneva Motor Show, the tuning specialists at RUF revealed the Porsche 911 RT 12 R, and we now have this test drive video to show you. According to the test driver, Martin, this RUF RT12 R is one of the fastest cars he’s ever driven, and this comes from a guy who owned a Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari F430. This RT 12 R is the next generation RT12 S, and this sports car specifically designed to race. With its lightweight body, weighing in at only 1495 kg, the 3.8-liter twin turbo engine has more than enough output at 730 horsepower and 940 Nm of torque. News has it that the first year production run of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has been completely sold out. It has been confirmed that the waiting list for the new Aventador has increased to 18 months, and the sell out occurred immediately after the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. This was also before the cars had even been displayed at dealerships around the world, so it goes to show you that you can’t afford to wait an extra day to reserve a supercar of this caliber. The Italian car makers expect to manufacture around 600-700 Aventadors in 2011, so this probably means that over 1,000 have already been reserved and sold. At a price of €312.970 in Germany, it proves that popularity can outweigh the price, and it was also announced that the Aventador Roadster should be ready for launch next year. If you really need attention, then turn to the guys at Tintek, a Czech tuning company that specializes in chrome wrap as seen here on the Chevrolet Camaro SS. They say this is the first chrome wrapped car of its kind in the Czech Republic, and that would mean it’s also the only car that could possibly blind you. The tuners were able to do this with a special 3D foil car wrap applied to the exterior over the original paint. It seems that this is becoming more popular with tuning firms these days, so the customers must be pleased. With the New York Auto Show coming to an end, Lexus decided to reveal their latest Fox Marketing CT200h hybrid project in the Big Apple for all Americans to see. It features a bespoke wide body kit with custom fascias, new side skirts, and a stunning rear diffuser to distribute the air. What really caught the car tuning enthusiasts attention is the Carizzma Cinnamon paint job, tinted headlights, and 20-inch alloy rims. Under the hood, Fox Marketing hooked it up with an Eaton supercharger to boost the 1.8-liter engine, a Climax Racing intake manifold allows more air to enter, and a larger intercooler keeps the temperature in check.
