Here we have the 1:33 ACR limited edition Dodge Viper that has been on display at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. What exactly does the 1:33 stand for? Well back in November, Chris Winkler was able to race the Viper ACR around the Laguna Seca track in just 1:33.944. It’s the fastest time ever accomplished by a production car, and only 33 of Dodge Vipers have been built since. Now what really makes this car unique is the 600 horsepower under the hood, and able to run from 0-202 mph 14 seconds faster than the 2009 model. Thus proving the Dodge Viper SRT10 V10 engine is not something to mess around with.
An all new performance tuning package has been released for the Audi TT-RS by the company B&B. There are four different tuning stages available for the new Audi, all resulting with impressive power numbers. The Stage 1 kit consists of a simple ECU tuning to take the boost level up an extra 0.2 bar, giving the engine 410 hp and priced at 1,950 euro. In the Stage 2 package, customers receive an extra 0.25 bar of boost along with an upgraded cooling system, resulting in 425 hp for 2,950 euro. The third stage is a bit more expensive than the first two, but the performance increases are well worth it.
If you follow the SuperGT competitions then you will notice one company that is missing a supercar in the race. Toyota has plans to develop the Lexus LFA SuperGT car to handle the competition after winning the race last year in their Lexus SC430. Nissan and Honda have already released their modified models, and although these renderings are unofficial, the concept seems on point as far as design goes. Toyota has yet to confirm the entrance of the Lexus LFA, but hopefully it should be announced later this year.
Here we have some pictures and a short video of a BMW 135i modified by the Chicago tuning firm WheelSTO. The song in the video is ‘Give Me That Slow Knowing Smile,’ by singer Lisa Ekdahl and it highlights the new features of the car. Driving through famed Blues Brothers and Batman locale Lower Wacker Drive, this WheelSTO Project 1 version 1.2 was introduced over the summer. Starting off with a six cylinder 3.0-liter twin turbo BMW 135i, the tuners increased the horsepower to 414 from the stock 300 hp. WheelSTO also offers performance packages to boost the BMW model to either 376 or 327 horsepower if desired.
