The German based tuners G-Power have released the ultimate performance package for the all new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M models. Based off the G-Power Typhoon wide-body kit, the tuning company redesigned this aero kit to render 15 percent more cooling efficiency. From the factory the BMW X5 M and X6 M carry the 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo engine, and the performance was increased 45 hp to a total of 600 horsepower. Starting at the front is the main attraction that can’t be overlooked, the front skirt made entirely of carbon fiber. Replacing the stock front body parts all together, the new air inlets in the bumper give the SUV an aggressive look.
Other carbon fiber additions include the side skirts, and G-Power hooked up the BMW X5 M with their Silverstone edition aluminum wheels measuring 11×23 in the front and 12×23 in the rear. Michelin high performance tires come wrapped around the four rims and measure up to be 315/25/ZR23, while the BMW X6 M received the same tires, however the G-Power RS forged rims instead. For the optimal traction and handling, a sport spring kit lowered the cars 30 mm and were fitted with a carbon fiber diffuser at the rear.
For performance increases, G-Power removed the V-max limiter found on both the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M to gain the additional 45 hp. This allowed them to dyno 600 hp at 6,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. An aftermarket stainless steel muffler was placed underneath with four 100 mm end pipes also patented by the Deeptone sound which is typical from G-Power. These new additions allowed the modified BMW cars to run from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, and reach a top speed in excess of 300 km/h.
