German car tuning specialists Hamann have revealed their latest project naming it the Typhoon, based off the Mercedes Benz G55 AMG. Hamann went with a biturbo setup to increase the performance numbers to 600 hp and 782 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with the Brabus G V12 S Biturbo kit that includes new electronics, larger belt pulley, and a re-engineered transmission with oil cooler. Increases in the sprint numbers are a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and the Mercedes Benz G55 AMG Typhoon can reach a top speed of 261 km/h (162 mph). Besides the performance increases, Hamann also customized the interior and exterior with many accessories to give it a unique look.
Switzer Performance, a car tuning company from Ohio developed a twin turbo kit for the already powerful Porsche 911 GT2. Professional tuner Tym Switzer and his guys at SPI created the package to deliver 800 hp for the Porsche 911 GT2. With those numbers it will really put you back in your seat, but Switzer aimed to also give it a smooth ride with an equal power curve. It runs on normal 93 octane gas and is basically a complete bolt on kit consisting of custom SPI headers, an aftermarket exhaust system, new intercooler setup, and to top it off, two GT30R turbochargers.
German car tuning firm G-Power got their hands on the powerful and new BMW M3, and added a touch of their own, calling it the BMW M3 Tornado. From the factory the BMW M3 comes with a V8 capable of producing 420 hp and 400 Nm of torque. G-Power decided to add a light supercharger from ASA and tune it to 0.3 bars of boost to increase the numbers to 500 hp and 480 Nm of torque. Adding to the supercharger is an aftermarket intercooler and performance exhaust system giving it a nice powerful sound. It is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, and with the upgrades it can sprint from 0-200 km/h in only 13.5 seconds, compared to the stock 15.8 seconds. G-Power offers to remove the electronic speed limiter for the customers, and by doing so the BMW M3 Tornado can reach a top speed of 320 km/h or 199 mph.
